Hi. Thanks for being part of the Cornell Engineer's story.
If you don't mind, I'd like to do a little bit of self-promotion here. My weekend business has launched and I'd love you to follow our journey.
My Beautiful Baby is a Brisbane-based baby and family photographer. Matt strives to capture beautiful family moments in a relaxed, fun way. For instance this pic of Audrey was taken on the weekend. Check out our Instagram page and say hi! Of course, we'll keep making great videos on structural engineering. But if you're on the lookout for a photographer to capture your family (and you're in Brisbane, Australia) let's chat!

Spoke to a timber supplier this morning at 9am. He said he had already been yelled at 5 times this morning.
Supply issues are across the board. It absolutely is not a single salesperson's fault that there are long lead times on timber supplies.
Pull your heads in and show a little bit of compassion.

Last year, on the 10 year anniversary of the 2011 Brisbane floods, Suncorp Group CEO, Steve Johnston wrote that "Simply put, we are stuck in a cycle of 'damage, repair, recover, repeat'. #Queensland can't afford to go another decade without significant investment in flood resilience."

It shouldn't be left to insurance companies to drive the demand for change. You can tell me and the rest of Brisbane these are extreme 1 in 100 year events - but that is little comfort to those people crying because floodwaters have once against washed away their hopes.
It's time for #change.

Brisbane, it's raining again. Take care. Don't go out unless you need to. Evacuate when told to do so. Protect your loved ones and stay safe. We can recover from this because we are resilient and together.
