Sorry no livestream today. I was shooting content all day today in Treasure Beach and left a lot later than expected. It was the ONLY day all weekend that we had decent weather to shoot so I had to take the opportunity. We're going live tomorrow evening instead and we get to talk finance and economics! Two of my favorite subjects to discuss. I hope you can join the convo.

I hosted the first Throp-X NYC Connect this past Saturday at Miss Lily’s 7A in Manhattan, and what an amazing turnout it was! I can’t thank you all enough for showing up on such short notice and coming from everywhere: Connecticut, Jersey, Pennsylvania, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, and even Virginia!

This community continues to grow not just in numbers but in the quality of people it brings together. Some of you are deep into your Jamaica journey, some just getting started, but all of you are moving with intention, doing your homework, and lining things up smartly. Just like at Throp-X London Connect back in April, I saw the start of lifelong relationships and real business partnerships forming right in front of me.

Big thanks to Miss Lily’s for hosting us with great food, great drinks, and great service.

Of course The Super Bowl of Throp-X is coming this November at Throp-X 2025 in Negril, Jamaica. I can’t wait to see many of you there. Next year, I’ll be taking Throp-X Connect’s to more cities around the world. What cities should I add to the list?

On Sunday I had the distinct honor of hosting the Most Honorable Prime Minister of Jamaica, Dr. Andrew Holness on my podcast. As you might imagine, he’s been a dream guest of mine for quite some time. This was a huge milestone for me, my team, and my family

With the Prime Minister’s busy schedule, I was originally told I’d have 30 minutes. We ended up going for over an hour and a half. It was an amazing conversation to say the least. We spoke about Jamaica’s journey, especially from a financial and economic standpoint. What was once a weakness is now becoming a strength. We talked about the country’s future, and of course, I had to ask about Negril, its role in national development and what’s to come. We also spoke about the pivotal role the Jamaican diaspora plays in shaping our nation (come home!)

What I didn’t expect to learn: the Prime Minister is a creative himself. He used to be a Canon shooter and is now a Sony shooter, just like me. He’s well-versed in the DJI ecosystem, drones and all. I was genuinely impressed. I also came away with a deeper appreciation for how intimately he understands the Jamaican electorate as it stands today. That part of our conversation was really fascinating

And before leaving, he took the time to greet our NEET students who are heading to Japan in less than two weeks to represent Jamaica at the World Expo in Osaka. That moment meant a lot to all of us especially the kids.

Big thank you to my brothers, Winfield and Wingate, and to my Dad for their support and for helping me prepare for this moment. Thanks to the Travellers team for ensuring the PM and his team felt welcomed and cared for. And a special thank you to the Throp Media team for stepping up in a major way to make this happen. Shoutout to Westmoreland’s very own Discovery Water for supporting this podcast. We both enjoyed the water

And finally, thank you to Prime Minister Holness for taking time out of an incredibly full schedule to sit down and talk. It was a wide-ranging, meaningful conversation that I can’t wait to share with all of you

The Prime Minister is in town tonight for a fundraiser. If you could ask the Prime Minister one question what would it be?

🇯🇲 Jamaica’s future looks bright!

Today, I had the honor of delivering the keynote speech at The Manning’s High School Shades of Blue Legacy Scholarship Awards Ceremony

These students blew me away! Not just with their intelligence, but with their insightful questions during the Q&A at the end of my address. After the ceremony, I got to speak one-on-one with a few of them, and I was genuinely inspired by the ambitions they shared and the advice they were seeking from me. Just dope all around honestly

If we continue to invest and pour into these kids and give them the resources and support they need Jamaica will be in good hands. This morning’s event was a powerful reminder of that
