Do we have any fans of Final Fantasy Tactics & Final Fantasy XII's music here??
I haven't made a video about those games yet, but to me those soundtracks are severely underrated.
I always thought they deserve to be played by a live orchestra, and would sound stunning in that context.
And if you agree with that, well... you'll be glad to hear that it's finally happening!

Composer Hitoshi Sakimoto is going to do a concert in London as a celebration of his 40 years long career.
The concert will be featuring arrangements of his music from games like Final Fantasy Tactics & Final Fantasy XII, but also Vanillaware games such as the iconic 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim & Odin Sphere Leifthrasir!

Sakimoto-san and I will also do a music masterclass on the same day.
On top of all of that, there will also be a Final Fantasy Pub Quiz on the same day too, hosted by ‪@FinalFantasyUnion‬ & Ben Starr !

All of this will be happening in June 13th 2026 in London.

Fans of Persona 3, 4 & 5:
If you've ever wanted to go to a Persona concert with Shoji Meguro outside of Japan, it's finally happening next year in London, on June 27th!

On the same day, there will also be a Hades concert during the afternoon with Darren Korb, Ashley Barrett, Austin Wintory & more special guests.
I don't think I've ever seen a more iconic concert combo than this, and I'd recommend not to miss it!

I recently was in Tokyo, where I got to meet Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's director, Naoki Hamaguchi & FF's music supervisor, Keiji Kawamori.
It was a dream come true!
It's no secret that Final Fantasy pretty much changed the course of my life. So it was such a joy to talk with these two and witness first-hand how much passion they have for the games they work on, and how much thoughtfulness and respect they have towards the FF community, their teams & for Final Fantasy's legacy.
The inspiration level after this encounter was off the charts, and the gratitude I felt, immeasurable.

I also got to meet Shotaro Shima, which is one of my absolute favorite game composers and who wrote so many of the best tracks in FF7 Remake & Rebirth in my opinion, and Max Mullowney, a game composer working at Square Enix!

I spent an evening with NieR's composer, Keiichi Okabe!
He told me a lot of fascinating stories about his work on NieR, going from the very early days when he just got started on NieR, more than 15 years ago, to today.
He also shared his perspectives on videogame music as a Japanese composer and we also chatted about the impact of game music concerts!
I already respected this man and his work a lot, but after this conversation I'm an even bigger fan of NieR music.

Pianist Benyamin Nuss was also with us!
Benyamin has worked with Okabe-san on an official NieR piano album which I'd recommend you to listen if you're a fan of the series.
In case you wanted to eavesdrop on our conversation about videogame music, you can actually watch it here:

Some years ago, I was invited by the amazing team at ‪@SantaMonicaStudio‬ to work together in creating an official God of War Ragnarök Lo-Fi Remix album.
In all honesty I panicked, lost my mind, and felt unworthy of touching the pantheon of this game's music... but as a fan of this series, I just couldn't say no!
What transpired ended up being one of my absolute favorite working experiences ever in my music career.

Never have I felt more supported and more creatively encouraged than during this time working with the Sony Santa Monica team, and that made me an even bigger fan of their work as a whole.
There's no words to describe how precious of an experience this was for me.

And as a cherry on the top, those same Lo-Fi remixes are now a very small part of this brand new & massive God of War 20th Anniversary Vinyl collection!
This 13-disc release features a compilation of 150 tracks from the God of War series, and can be pre-ordered on these stores:

In case you missed it, ‪‪@MarcoMeatball‬ and I made a collab where we showed each other deep cuts from soundtracks of games we haven't played.
Lots of nerdy music talk in this one.

We talk about music from Ragnarok Online, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy, Stellar Blade, Lost Odyssey and a bunch others!
You can find the video on Marco's channel here:

I just finished recording a music analysis video on a song from Persona 3 Reload.
The first draft of the edit ended up being a big brain video that's more than half an hour long!
Do you think I should post it in its entirety or should I trim it to <10 minutes?

I'm losing my mind at how good the music in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is.
Every other track in this game is a banger far beyond what I could've imagined and improves on the perfection that FFVII Remake already was.

Speaking of which, if you're anything like me, you'll rejoice in knowing that a massive FFVII Rebirth Orchestra World Tour was just announced!
Seriously can't wait to hear this masterpiece of a soundtrack played live by 100 musicians:
