I was considering the 80th anniversary of VE Day and remembered that I had recently taken a picture of a display at a local library. It is not the best picture but it does help to show the sacrifice that the greatest generation paid to keep us free. The last 80 years have had there own troubles, but we should all be thankful that we have had the freedom to live through our share of them not under the tyranny of the Nazi’s and Imperial Japan. I think that if more Americans( regardless of party ) knew how bad those governments were, and what they did, we would not be inclined to call our neighbors Nazis. Thank you to our veterans. Especially our WW2 Veterans. There are not many left, I would advise everyone to meet with any you know and learn their stories.
