Craig and Aimee - Join us as we renovate our cottage and barn in Scotland.
After Aimee was diagnosed with Cancer at 18 and Craig broke his neck shortly after by a freak accident, we decided life really is too short and we set off on an around the world trip. As we're getting older and no longer want to live in Craig's mum's attic - we've finally bought our own cottage and barn to renovate in Scotland.
Before this we loved to give ourselves new travel challenges like driving a rickshaw through India or driving a fiat panda to Russia raising money to save the rainforest .
Our mantra is Rule Your Own World - we only get one life and it’s YOURS to chose how to live it - make it count.
Our best challenges to date:
2018: We drove a 1.2 litre fiat panda to Russia on the Mongol Rally
2019: We bought a rickshaw in India and travelled from the North to the South
2023: We drove a beach buggy through Africa to raise money for shoes for kids

The week in snaps!
1. THE SUNSHINE CAME OUT! 😭😭
2. The snow has not let up (but we don’t mind.. It makes everything cleaner 😜)
3. Winnie! (Just because..I miss her)
4. We started the pointing on our bedroom and the place really transformed.. 🤩
5. We have spent HOURS washing the fireplace (final shot at the end!)
6. Housewife Craig ♥️
7. I prepared the buffet at the fat bird cafe and sat stealthily on my studio decking waiting to see who would turn up!
8. The finished bedroom wall (before whacking back with a brush - which really does make a huge difference!)

No one tells you the major physicality of renovating a house. We have not stopped on these walls - only to sleep!
We’re very proud of how it’s come up 🥰
We also had the fireplace measured up this week for a beautiful new log burner - that is going to be so cosy and really bring the room together!

We’re physically working on the house and are editing our own videos for the foreseeable future- so this just makes sense!
This weekend we decided to take Walter on his first tour of Scotland for Valentine’s Day 😁♥️

We’ve been together 18 years this year so Valentine’s Day usually just means another day - but we’ve decided this year to make SURE we have one date day every week and have some new experiences together!

Happy new year everyone! 🥳
2025 no doubt came with highs and lows!
We all experience them.
The turning of a new year doesn’t mean we’re expected to fix it all. But we hope that 2026 brings you peace and good health.
This year for us has been about personal growth and dealing with our stuff head on. It has been a rollercoaster in amongst filming on YouTube and building projects but whenever we work on ourselves and then come together, we show up better in our relationship.
Give yourself a little more love and thought in 2026.
Growth is slow - allow that, even if it takes a while and is painful
Release what no longer serves you
Talk to people - never deal with anything alone - even strangers will listen.

This week we take on our Outdoor Bathroom (made out of windows) ourselves!
It was a bit daunting not having all of our other DIY YouTube pals here to help, but I think we did a blooming good job just the two of us!!
Especially considering we’ve not built anything together before - and definitely not something this BIG! 😳
This magical little (nearly) bathhouse / greenhouse is perched in the perfect spot in our garden, overlooking a million dollar view of the forest and countryside. 😻🌲
I just KNOW when it’s done we are going to have such a winning little stained glass spa to relax in when the house build gets too intense or physical! 💪
A friend described it as ‘like a greenhouse had a baby with an art studio’ and even though she’s not finished yet, the sunlight has started to pour in through all the different colours of the windows and it’s already got a beautiful rustic charm about it. 🥹♥️

Picture this - a reclaimed window building with salvaged doors (from the saltburn film set!) a full on luxury roll top bath and a crackling log burner inside with 360 views of the mountains and forests of the highlands 😍😍
We had 72 hours to make it happen… 🤣
We had so much fun and so many laughs! We all learnt so much from each other and even got to celebrate @rewildingjude birthday!
