Shire Meadow Studio

Welcome to Shire Meadow Studio 🌿✨
I'm Shirley — maker of miniatures, wrangler of Mod Podge, and lover of all things tiny and magical.

Here in my little corner of the internet, I bring you DIY dioramas, scenic set builds, and creative craft projects inspired by fairy tales, film scenes, and a sprinkle of cottagecore chaos.

Whether I’m laser-cutting a tiny teapot or turning old junk into a fantasy backdrop, you’ll find plenty of inspiration, how-tos, and behind-the-scenes mischief.

The name Shire Meadow comes from the Old English roots of my own name — "Shire" (bright) and "Ley" (meadow) — and this channel is my own bright little meadow of creativity.

So if you love handmade magic, a bit of whimsy, and a good rummage through the craft stash, you’re in the right place.
Pull up a toadstool and stay awhile! 🧵🍄✨

Sometimes a craft project chooses you.
While watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, I spotted Ser Duncan the Tall’s beautiful elm tree shield and immediately thought…
“I must make that.”
So with cardboard, foam, acrylic paint, and a slightly suspicious-looking rock from the garden, I recreated the Hedge Knight’s shield for my studio wall.
Turns out hoarding craft leftovers does occasionally pay off! 🌳⭐
New video now on the channel.
What would your shield sigil be?

Forty days of rain.
Endless wellies.
One slightly reckless idea…
I tattooed my suede boots with an Elven design using a wood-burning tool — and somehow it worked 🌿✨
From puddle-wear to woodland elf in one afternoon.

There’s nothing quite like a winter evening with tea, creativity… and your very own Mr Darcy 🤍
After spotting a rather pricey bust at Chatsworth House, I decided to make our own from a small 3D print — filling, plastering, sanding, and waxing until he had his Regency glow-up.
If you love cozy crafting, period dramas, and creative makeovers, this one’s for you 🌿

I made a memory shadow box in the shape of our old dog Willoughby 🌿
Built from layered paper trees and leaves, his silhouette only appears when the light hits from behind and you stand in just the right place.
A quiet tribute to a rescue dog who grew up with our children, watched over us all, and loved nothing more than trees, light, and the freedom of the beach 💙🐾

This year’s birthday gift to myself 🌿
Tiny decorated perfume bottles, each with its own story — hobbits, ancient legends, forest paths, trees, and a little golden glamour.
I blended natural oil perfumes to match each bottle, turning a handful of thrifted glass into something both useful and meaningful.
Slow crafting, saved supplies, and a quiet wander through the meadow 💚

Leftover candle wax + book moulds + a little Hobbit inspiration 🌿
I turned forgotten candle jars into cosy book candles using scraps I already had — a quick, simple make to start the New Year, with just a hint of Shire magic.
Full make over on the channel ✨📚🕯️

Happy New Year and all the very best for 2026

The final three buildings of our handmade advent village ✨
For these, I revisited an old book nook I built years ago and gave it a second life as larger shops to hold the final Christmas gifts. Built from repurposed packaging, paper clay and hoarded craft supplies, they now sit glowing softly in our hallway — ready for the last doors to open.
Thank you so much for all the support this year, and wishing you a very happy Christmas 🤍🎄

Two more buildings join the advent village 🌿
This time, a Hobbit house and an Elven tower — both built from scraps, cereal boxes, hoarded bits and a little Tolkien-inspired magic.
Removable snow, glowing windows, and one very involved cat supervisor 🐾
Just one more set of builds to go…

Three wobbly wizard towers have joined the advent village ✨
Built from saved scraps, forgotten 3D prints, cardboard tubes, and a few very persuasive spare roofs — all finished with removable snow so they can live on long after Christmas.
Each one glows softly inside, hiding a tiny gift and a bit of festive magic 🕯️
That’s three more buildings complete… and many still to go.
New video is up now 🤍
Please can you re-write my following YouTube script on a Shire Meadow Studio style 😊

Nine more little buildings have joined the advent village 🤍
Houses, cottages… and yes, even a couple of sheds.
Each one is built from hoarded boxes, rescued materials, and those “I’ll use that someday” craft supplies we all seem to collect.
There’s also removable snow, so these tiny buildings can live on as future backdrops long after Christmas.
As always, thank you for watching and for sharing this cosy creative journey with me — it truly means the world.
