Tony has been fishing for almost 50 years and he likes nothing better than catching a bunch of panfish.
This channel is here to encourage folks to get out to their local lakes and other waterways (for Tony, they are in Eastern Iowa) and catch the most plentiful and easiest to catch fish--the panfish (bluegill, crappie, etc.). Oh, Tony doesn't mind at all catching bigger fish like bass and catfish (you'll see that here, too), but there's just something about watching a bobber dive under the water. "Got 'em!"
Bobber fishing with worms or jigs is a simple way to fish and, as far as Tony's concerned, the best way to introduce young people to the joyful and relaxing sport of fishing.
When Tony isn't fishing for fish he's fishing for souls. See what that means over at Tony's other channel: youtube.com/user/TheLawman104/featured
So, let's go fishing!
Iowa Panfishing
Patterned after a bleeding shad jig, my take on this effective jig consists of a custom jig head by Charles Brown of Elite Crappie Jigs, a pearl gray marabou tail, and a custom-made bleeding shad chenille.
For months, I looked high and low for a bleeding shad chenille, with no luck. So, I found someone to custom-make one for me. I'm gonna keep that source close to the vest for a bit. :-)
Now, I need a name for this new jig. And I'm looking for your help.
I'm looking for name suggestions.
Leave your suggestion in a comment here, on one of the other social media posts where I introduce this jig, or email me at IowaPanfishing.com.
If I choose your suggestion for the name of this jig, I will send you some as my way of saying "Thank You!"
God bless and let's go fishing! :-)
