If you're thinking about starting a homestead, or becoming more self-sufficient, you've come to the right place.
Here you'll find videos on gardening, fruit production, raising chickens, fish, bees, livestock and just about everything else related to starting, or continuing to build your homestead. It's about making you and your family as self-reliant as possible.
Emergency preparedness is also a large part of my channel. I take on topics like living "off-grid", storing food, preserving your own produce and living a more sustainable lifestyle.
Whether your "homestead" consists of several acres, or a small backyard, there are many ways to make the transition toward sustainability. You CAN be less dependent on others, and learn to rely more on your own skills.
I've put together some resources for you. You can find them here: join.stan.store/Alan-TP2
So WELCOME... I hope you'll stick around !

Hey folks,
A few weeks ago, about 300 folks took advantage of the free giveaway of my Raised Bed Garden Book.
However, it still has very few reviews, so I wanted to remind you, if you haven’t already, to take a couple of minutes to leave a review for me.
Christmas shoppers are looking for a great gift for the gardener in their lives, and a timely review would certainly help me out.
Amazon reviews will make or break a book. They let shoppers know how well others have received it.
You can review the book by scanning the QR Code below:
Thanks again,
alan

Thanks to all who have picked up my new book!
Someone asked how to leave a review if you got the PDF instead of the Kindle Book on Amazon…
How to Leave a Review if you get the PDF:
On your computer:
> On the Amazon website or app, find the book: amzn.to/3KJ99x2 (my book)
> Scroll down the product page to the "Customer Reviews" section and click on "Review This Product"
> Look for the option to "Write a Product Review" and select it.
> After selecting a star rating, you can add text, or optional photos, or videos before submitting.
On a phone:
> On the Amazon website or app, find the book: amzn.to/3KJ99x2
> Scroll down the product page
> You should see "Customer reviews" and an arrow on the right.
> Click the arrow.
> Now you should see a button that says "Write a Review"
> Click on that
> After selecting a star rating, you can add text, or optional photos, or videos before submitting.
Thanks again!!!

Urgent Prayer Request:
Hey guys, I need to ask for a favor.
Will you pray for my younger brother, Brian?
He had a stroke Friday morning and is currently in Neuro ICU in Arlington TX.
He is having trouble coming off of the breathing tube.
So, first of all pray he'll start breathing on his own, so they can remove the tube.
Then, long term, he'll need strength to repair and regain what he's lost.
We know it's going to be a long road to recovery, but know God is faithful, and trust His will.
Pray also that his wife Donna has the strength and grace she needs to face this with him.
I know I have some prayer warriors out there, so that's why I ask.
Thanks so much!

Hey folks,
On occasion, EarthBox puts their products on sale.
This weekend is one of those occasions.
There's a pretty decent price reduction, so you might want to take a look.
FREE shipping over $149 or on certain "bundles".
Anyway, if you've been wanting to get into container gardening with EarthBoxes, this might be your time.
Take care,
alan

If you have problems with Blossom End Rot, and want to prevent it this year, I've put together a FREE guide for you. It describes what causes Blossom End Rot (BER) and gives you some great advise to stamp it out once and for all in your garden. BER not only occurs in Tomatoes, but also in Peppers, Eggplant, Squash and other garden favorites.
The Guide is FREE, and I think it will help you have a better Tomato crop this year.
Check it out here: stan.store/Alan-TP2

EarthBox is having a "Prime Day" sale.
You can get a basic EarthBox (Original) for as low as $36.55
This would not have the potting mix, fertilizer, lime or casters.
That package is exactly what I've always bought.
Orders over $149 ship free.
I'm not an associate for EB, nor do I make anything off your purchase.
I just like the product, and most of my viewers have cited price as a deterrent to buying one.
Anyway, If you're interested, this is the link:
earthbox.com/gardening-systems/earthbox-original
I think it's today only till midnight...
Stay safe!

Well, my posting schedule might be sporadic for a week or so.
We got hit by a Tornado last weekend.
We are fine. House is fine as far as I can tell... and barn seems pretty good.
MANY trees down, some huge ones.
Power was down for a day. Got it back on, but just had another storm that knocked it out again.
My EcoFlow Delta Pro has done a GREAT job!
I have a video scheduled to upload tomorrow. Pretty interesting, so be sure to watch.
Video of storm damage will probably have to wait till next week or so, when we get power/internet.
We don't get a good cell signal here.
Hope you'll understand that I probably can't answer all the comment for a few days.
Here is some of the damage, but pictures don't do it justice at all.
Probably 30+ trees down... either uprooted or snapped off.
Small Shed over a fuel tank destroyed.
But again, house seems fine (but will get the insurance adjuster up there to take a look anyway)
We'd appreciate your prayers for a fair insurance settlement.
Probably over 1000 feet of fencing will have to be replaced AFTER these huge trees are removed.
Y'all stay safe. There's still a lot going on around the country.
MANY people in such worse shape than we are.
We are blessed to have been protected.

Hey guys, I need a favor.
Most of you know I have a new YouTube Channel dedicated to product review videos.
Most of you also know that the goal of most new YT channels is getting to 1000 Subscribers.
At present, my "Review" channel has about 400 Subs.
If you have time, please consider stopping by "Alan Reviews" and Subscribing.
It would really help me out.
Here's the link: youtube.com/@alansreviews
It's no secret that YouTube rewards smaller channels with perks, promotions, monetization, and other favors when the 1K subs goal is reached, so I'm trying to get there, and you could be a BIG part of it.
If you would just SUB the channel, it would mean a lot.
Thanks so much,
alan (TP2)
