Hello everyone, my name is Sveta, and if you are wondering: “Random Russian, why?” Well, that’s simple: because I don't believe that language learning can (nor should!) be structured in any way.
On my channel, I will not try to TEACH you Russian in a conventional way. Instead, I will help you naturally ACQUIRE the language by getting comprehensible Russian input.
I also hope to convince you that language learning need not be stressful and, if you acquire a language using comprehensible and compelling input, it is, in fact, a lot of fun.
Happy Russian acquisition journey!

📅 September Beginner Comprehensible Russian Challenge runs on weekdays: 10–12, 15–19, 22–26, 29–30 — that's a total of 15 videos! www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
Edit: the end of the September challenge is postponed to the beginning of October, but I will make 15 outdoor videos, as I promised ✨
Today I'm uploading an intermediate "Walk and Talk" vlog.
Beginners, I recommend checking it out too — it’s a great way to get more exposure to natural Russian and also see more scenes from the location where one of the challenge videos was filmed 😉⛲🤫

📢 September Challenge Update
Bad news first 😕: the challenge is a little delayed (hopefully no more than 3 days).
Good news 🎉: it’s still happening! I’ll be uploading 15 outdoor, uncut beginner-level videos for Russian learners throughout September, just as promised.
✨ And as bonus compensation, I’ve prepared an intermediate Russian conversation (for those who’ve been missing intermediate content during the challenge)… with a guest! 👀 Guess who?
And don’t forget: you can still support the September Challenge goal here 👉 boosty.to/randomrussian/single-payment/donation/73…

🎉 You thought the challenge was over? Surprise — here’s a bonus 31st video!
https://youtu.be/9KNohudIeak
I’ve put together short highlights from all 30 days so you can easily check what you’ve missed — and maybe get inspired to watch the full videos if you skipped some.
⚡ If you’re intermediate, remember you can always speed up the video — you’ll still get lots of input and I’m sure you’ll learn new words.
🌳 This challenge had it all: outdoor locations, different weather ☀️☁️🌧️, random people, a not-so-random cat 🐈, and even mosquitoes🦟.
Which location did you like most? Should I repeat it in September? Tell me in the 💬 comments!
📊 Outcome of this challenge:
▪️ 7 hours of beginner comprehensible input created
▪️ +701 subscribers gained
🙏 A huge thanks to everyone who supported me with their 👍 likes, 💬 comments, 🔔 subscriptions, and 🤝 shares. One of my goals was to reach 2,000 subscribers — if you’re watching but haven’t subscribed yet, help me hit it!
📚 And don’t forget — during this challenge I also shared some language tips:
- how to watch CI videos (Day 3)
- (why I don’t recommend) reading subtitles while watching videos (Day 16)
- motivation and input (Day 19)
- the Crosstalk method (Day 29)
⏸️ I’m taking a short break September 1–7, so I won’t be able to respond to your comments. But please keep them coming 💬 — your engagement is even more important while I’m away so the algorithm keeps pushing the channel forward. I still have 140+ videos apart from the challenge ones. A lot of input for you to watch and re-watch! 😉
🚀 A quick reminder - the September Challenge Boosty goal is 52% complete. If you’d like to help keep this format alive for another 15 days in September, you can contribute here:

A student of mine just shared a post on Reddit about how he’s been learning Russian through comprehensible input, along with a big list of free online resources he's been using.
www.reddit.com/r/russian/comments/1mp2no4/here_is_…
If you find it helpful (or even if you’re too lazy to read it 😜), help it reach a bigger audience by upvoting and commenting, thus supporting your favourite CI creators — me included 😀❤️.
Also, if you’re in any Facebook, Instagram, Discord, or other groups with Russian learners, feel free to recommend my channel and other CI creators. The more the method spreads, the more comprehensible input videos everyone gets!

¡Hola comunidad!
