National Logistics Corporation (NLC) is the premier multimodal logistics organization of Pakistan with a rich history of offering multiple solutions to its valued clients for more than four decades. NLC supports growth of national economy by ensuring uninterrupted logistics cycle through ERP enabled fleet management system handling bulk of domestic and regional cargo. NLC employs multimodal means of transport including road, train, sea and air to provide end-to-end solutions. NLC’s capability is further augmented by a network of dry ports and warehousing facilities in major commercial hubs and gateway towns of Pakistan. NLC is also operating border terminals that act as trade facilitation centres in movement of goods. NLC operates under the ambit of Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives (PD&SI) and functions through National Logistics Board (NLB), headed by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission.

Amidst heavy snowfall and inclement weather conditions, the National Logistics Corporation (#NLC) facilitated the movement of #Chinese containers from #Khunjerab to the #SostDryPort in Gilgit Baltistan.
These containers, laden with agricultural machinery, are on transit to Bahawalpur. According to details, a convoy of 27 Chinese vehicles entered the Khunjerab pass from China. Of these, 7 vehicles arrived at the Sost Dry Port on Saturday, while the remaining 19 completed the journey on Sunday. However, one #vehicle encountered a mishap, slipping off the road amidst the #snowfall. A team of NLC equipped with recovery machines is set to rescue the stranded vehicle on Tuesday. Once clearance procedures are finalized, the #convoy will proceed towards its final destination.
It's noteworthy to mention that the NLC Sost Dry Port is situated adjacent to one of the highest border crossing points near Khunjerab. This facility plays a crucial role in streamlining cross-border trade between the two friendly countries.
