this was my first ever whis regionals, and i feel like it made me 100% closer to my biggest goal in horse back riding. if you’ve followed me for a while you may know that i’ve been dreaming of competing at the real wihs since the beginning of my equestrian journey. though this isn’t the real wihs, i can see myself riding there in the distance.
airplane was beyond phenomenal putting in three amazing rounds (round, round and jump off, 2 phase round). though we had a slight rider detour in our jump off the first day, and a refusal at the first jump on the second day, and gathered up 22 time faults in one round, i always left the ring with a smile on my face. with that attitude, i didn’t walk out of the ring after aviator and i had a miscommunication. i stuck with it. i pulled fourth and eighth in an insanely competitive group, which is beyond amazing because i came into this show not even wanting to place.
always big thank yous to my team at the barn and my mom for driving me out in the mornings and airplane who puts his all at these shows and never disappoints
