We’re making another trip out to the Pink House, and if anyone can make any amount of donations to the nonprofit. We’d be extremely grateful. We were still looking for 90-100 people to donate $50. Our supplies are around 4500, but we won’t have enough for anything else. The funds that took us a year to raise, will be completely wiped out this trip, and there’s no way we can afford a return trip back to the house. Unfortunately the grants we applied for, were all denied, not enough funds for everyone. We’re still going to try and apply for other grants, but our grassroots nonprofit is trying to do this by donations. Thank you to everyone that has supported us.
A lot of people see the Pink Palace and assume it’s already “saved” or that someone else is taking care of it. The reality is very different. The tower and front parlor are already failing, and without immediate structural stabilization, Endangered Places does not believe this house will survive another winter. The organization has invested countless hours of sweat equity into this home, but we’ve reached the point where determination alone isn’t enough. We’ve applied for grants, but this year the competition was overwhelming, and we were not awarded funding. There simply isn’t enough grant money to help every worthy project. Right now, Endangered Places has more than 6,000 followers and subscribers across all of our platforms. If everyone who follows this page contributed just $20, we would have more than enough to hire our team of Amish craftsmen and finish this job. But this won’t work if only five people donate. We need a collective effort. If 500 of you contribute $20, or if 200 of you contribute $50, we will hit our goal to secure the roof and stabilize the tower immediately. I am not asking for someone else to save this house; the organization is doing everything we can. I am asking you to become part of the team that keeps this historic home standing.
