Shout out everyone celebrating today! My beautiful Dominican people, we all primos today, I can feel my plátano powers rising. All those tostones & salami I've eaten throughout my life are giving me increased strength today 🇩🇴😤
Super excited to share that after months of working on this whenever I could, I officially submitted the final cut of my documentary, Somos Cumbia, Somos Familia to @bricbrooklyn last night!
Created as part of BRIC’s 2025 Documentary Intensive, this film tells the story of Colombian dancer and teacher Karla Florez, who keeps the spirit of Cumbia alive through her family, her dance school, and the children’s books she’s written. I’m incredibly grateful to Karla for trusting me with her story—it’s a visually rich and heartfelt portrait of cultural pride, rhythm, and legacy.
Endless thanks to everyone who helped bring this to life including the amazing @amariilla22_ who helped me film and created the film title scene.
Thank you to @karlaflorezsd @valeolayaf @_viof_ @olaiyanpine for welcoming us into your spaces ♥️

I've had the pleasure of meeting so many great dance groups over the last few years at all the parades in NYC. But I definitely want to show my appreciation for @karlaflorezsd
Doing my @BRICTV documentary on Karla has given me the opportunity to learn more about the wonderful human she is and I'm grateful to her and her amazing family for letting me tell their story.
The best display of Hispanic unity in NYC!! Check out some of the portraits I took of the vibrant colors and amazing dresses at the Hispanic Heritage Parade in NYC.
I still have sooo many photos to edit and I'm working my way through them but wanted to showcase some the energy of these incredible performers celebrating their roots. More photos and videos on the way 📸🇨🇴🇩🇴🇵🇷🇵🇦🇬🇹🇭🇳🇪🇸

Portraits from the Photodom photo walk in Prospect Park this weekend 📸
It was my first time ever going to a photo walk and it was awesome! So many talented photographers all in one place, taking photos of each other and talking about gear. Prospect Park is an absolute Brooklyn gem and I'm glad the rain didn't stop us from exploring it.
Shout out to all the great photographers and Photodom for putting this event together!
