A Writer's Ramble
I'm an Australian author who writes across multiple genres, predominantly literary fiction with ties to other genres such as romance and crime. My stories raise awareness for various topical issues, with the main one being domestic and family violence. I hope to provide comfort and relatability to my readers who may be going through something similar to my heroines.
When I'm not writing (or studying), I enjoy spending time with my family and doing my plethora of hobbies. Or I'm rewatching Forensic Files or Bones (with the occasional glass of wine), for the umpteenth time.

I wanted to share some fantastic feedback that I received on Thursday, as part of the "Publishable" development program run by the Queensland Writers' Centre.
The beta readers who received my manuscript from QWC had said that not only is there a market for what I thought was a very niche book, but that I've done my job well. One thing I aimed to do when I started writing books back in 2020 was to help start conversations and raise awareness about domestic violence, especially emotional abuse. So, for a beta reader to say that my book will help women in their 20s with their own experiences was incredible and unexpected.
Now, I'm finalising the last of the constructive criticism from QWC's betas and my editor, before the very last revision and proofread. At this rate, "Through the Darkness" will be ready well before my set release date in February 2026!
