When you exchange your currency to buy another currency like Dollar, Euro, Pound. It is called Forex Exchange.

Note- If we are working in currency pairs and taking EURUSD pair for trading. If we are going to buy EURUSD we are buying Euros and selling US Dollars If we are going to sell EURUSD we are selling Euros and buying US Dollars
