Higher consciousness sees the truth: you cannot pour light into another’s darkness while your own basement is still flooded. The only door that was ever locked from the inside is the one leading back to yourself.

When you turn inward and meet that wounded place with merciless love, when you sit with the shame, the craving for approval, the fear of abandonment, the belief that you are only worthy when you are fixing or enduring, you dissolve the cord. The yin and yang in the image stop being two separate beings locked in battle or rescue. They remember they were always one swirling field of awareness.

The toxic person does not disappear from the world.

They simply lose their power to hook into you, because the hook no longer exists.

This is the great liberation of human consciousness: we are not victims of other people’s brokenness. We are the artists of our own resonance. Heal the resonance, and the entire orchestra changes, even if the broken instruments keep playing their same old song somewhere far away.

You are here to become the ocean that no longer needs to prove it can calm the waves.
