Sometimes we need music that stops us in our tracks, grounding us in the present moment. That’s what Six Missing, the ambient project of Austin-based composer and sound designer TJ Dumser, seeks to provide. Blending layered guitar loops, ethereal vintage synthesizers, and intricate textures, Six Missing creates immersive soundscapes for deep listening, meditation, and cinematic atmospheres.

The name stems from a supernatural experience at a Pennsylvania studio near the Battle of Brandywine, where six soldiers remain unaccounted for. “I felt an overwhelming presence and sadness—it was unlike anything I’d ever experienced.”

With releases on Nettwerk Music Group and collaborations with The Album Leaf, Jamie Lidell, and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Dumser’s music has amassed 30M+ streams. Inspired by Brian Eno and Nils Frahm, Six Missing offers a space to reflect, heal, and explore the unknown.
