Hi! My name's Ryan, but I go online by Shade. I have a pretty wide gamut of passions, and this channel serves as my way of sharing them with you all! This channel is where I post pretty much anything, but you'll mostly see K-pop/Music reviews, osu!, other gaming highlights, and possibly vlogs should I lead an interesting enough life! I also live stream music reviewing every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 18:00 BST. As well as the occasional gaming livestreams on any other days. Highlight videos are uploaded twice a day at both 05:00 BST & 17:00 BST.

You may have noticed I just posted/un-privated a bunch of old, seemingly random videos. These are a lot of (mostly gaming) content that I've had unlisted/privated on my channel for a while, as I didn't, at the time, feel they were worth making public/didn't seem interesting.

However, I've found that the algorithm, both on the analytics side and in my own personal experience using YouTube, can make even the seemingly random videos do quite well. Of course, this isn't my expectation in unlisting them; I simply feel like having the history on my channel is better than just leaving them rotting on the servers.

If you've subscribed for a different type of content (looking at you k-pop fans!) I'm hopefully going to be doing some more reactions in the near future, as well as for my gaming audience, uploading more highlights from games like Arc Raiders, Arknights, and any other gaming content that I feel passionate about. Of course, it's entirely your prerogative to unsubscribe.

Also, shameless plug of the new video :p

I love smaller groups in K-pop, not only for the fact that their fanbases tend to be a lot more tight-knit, but there's a clear level of passion and, more importantly, drive in each and every member. Without relying on the guaranteed success often seen with Big 3 groups, Queenz Eye, as well as many other groups, tend to always strive to put their best foot forward. While they may not always succeed, it's impossible to overlook the effort.

ICHILLIN have been slowly gaining popularity and ability since their debut in 2021; unfortunately, however, the quantity of their releases has notably decreased. Of course, the adage of "Quality over Quantity" has never been more necessary in K-pop as of late. ICHILLIN still struggles to truly capitalize on the fruits of their labour.

As a huge fan of GFriend, Yuju's former Group, When she began embarking on her solo career I was excited to say the least, unfortunately however, her solo efforts up until this point have been exceedingly boring, and while 'In Bloom' doesn't manage to reach the career and industry defining highlights of her time with GFriend, Yuju does seem to be taking a step in the right direction with In Bloom.

As with most K-pop Groups, AtHearts' debut was lackluster at best, though it's always nice to see interesting developments within the space.

Have you heard Jeon Somi's latest album? What'd you think of the Beautiful Girls Interpolation??

I've been thinking about different ways to expand my channel and the content I post on it, especially given the fact that some weeks there aren't enough K-pop albums that come out to release a video every day of the week. At the moment, it's primarily K-pop album reactions that I upload, but I'm also a big fan of many Japanese artists. Would you all be interested in Japanese (and other East Asian) album reactions as well? These would likely only be for artists that I do enjoy, as there are nearly as many Japanese albums each week as Korean.

I just hit 256 subs! Practically nothing in the grand scale of things, but as a computer nerd, that's pretty neat! Here's hoping we can double that by the end of next month :P
