Black Hive
True crime is full of stories about what happened. Black Hive Films is interested in how the hell we got there.
We follow the paper trail, question the official version, and look closely at the systems, decisions, warnings and failures that existed before the headline.
Crime. Justice. Psychology. Military service. Institutional failure. And the complicated human beings caught in the middle.
We don’t need to manufacture outrage. The documents are usually quite capable of doing that themselves.
Black Hive Films is independent documentary filmmaking built on primary sources, careful research, uncomfortable questions and a healthy suspicion of tidy explanations.

If you found these in an old box…
What story would you imagine they tell?

🐝 Welcome to Black Hive Films.
If you’re reading this, you’re here at the very beginning.
This isn’t just another true crime channel.
We’re building feature-length documentaries that ask the harder questions, dig deeper, and tell the stories others couldn’t or wouldn’t.
Our first documentary, LINE25, explores a homicide through a different lens. Not to excuse what happened, but to understand how a 22-year-old former soldier and a 19-year-old young woman became part of the same tragic story.
This story has never been told like this before.
Over the coming months, you’ll see behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews, production updates, research discoveries, and teaser clips as we build this film from the ground up.
Your comments, ideas, and discussions are part of this journey. We want you here from day one.
Thanks for taking a chance on a brand-new independent documentary studio.
Welcome to the hive. 🐝
Every story has a beginning.
This is ours.
