The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) was established in accordance with the Mumbai Metropolitan Development Act, 1974, on 26th January, 1975.
Since its inception, MMRDA is engaged in long term planning, promotion of new growth centers, implementation of strategic projects and financing infrastructure development. The Regional Plan provides for a strategic frame work of MMR's sustainable growth. The object behind establishing MMRDA was to make MMR a destination for economic activity by promoting infrastructure development and improving the quality of life.
The MMRDA prepares plans, formulates policies and programs, implements projects and helps in directing investments in the Region.
The broad responsibilities of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority includes:

Providing financial assistance for significant regional projects
Providing help to local authorities and their infrastructure projects

As part of the Special Intensive Revision of the Electoral Rolls, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be visiting your residence between 30 June 2026 and 29 July 2026.
During their visit, they will provide you with an Enumeration Form. You are requested to carefully fill in the required information, sign the form, and return a copy to the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO).
Your cooperation is essential to ensure that your name is correctly included in the electoral roll and that your participation in the democratic process is safeguarded.

धावत्या मुंबईला नवी गती देणाऱ्या महा मुंबई मेट्रोने आणखी एक ऐतिहासिक टप्पा गाठला आहे.
२१ जुलै रोजी तब्बल ३,७३,६३७ मुंबईकरांनी महा मुंबई मेट्रोने प्रवास करून इतिहास रचला. आमचा आतापर्यंतचा हा सर्वोच्च एकदिवसीय प्रवासी आकडा ठरला.
आणि एवढंच नाही! गेल्या ३३ दिवसांत तब्बल ६ वेळा नव्या विक्रमांची नोंद झाली आहे.
त्यात भर म्हणजे, कालही ७२% पेक्षा अधिक प्रवाशांनी डिजिटल, कागदविरहित तिकिटांची निवड करून पेपरलेस प्रवास केला. मुंबईकरांच्या या पर्यावरणपूरक निवडीमुळे स्वच्छ आणि हरित प्रवासाच्या आमच्या चळवळीला अधिक बळ मिळाले, यासाठी देखील सर्वांचे विशेष आभार!
