I always wanted to be lean, have visible abs, feel confident in my own skin. But for years, I couldn’t get there.Even when I dieted hard, I’d end up looking soft, never sharp, and always rebounded. What changed everything was building structure.Training with intent.Eating like an adult.Keeping my weekends under control. Now I don’t “try” to stay lean, I just live this way.And the truth is, the difference between the guy on the left and the guy on the right isn’t just physical…it’s mental.Confidence. Discipline. Belief. What’s stopping YOU?

NEVER DIRTY BULKWould you believe these pics are just 4 weeks apart?📅 December 23 → January 24At the point on the left I was about 8 weeks into my winter bulk.Gaining weight steadily. Making some solid progress. Then January hit and I blew the whole thing out the water 🤦♂️Started rinsing old Rich Piana content on YouTube and felt inspired to dirty bulk…Triple cheeseburgers nightly from McDonald’s and before I knew it, I’d ballooned 😅I actually went another 4 weeks past this into March…But I stopped taking photos after this one 😂It feels kinda feels like a rite of passage to have a bulk go to sh*t.Happens to the best of us.All part of the learning curve.

Found an old iPhone note from 2019 of a diet plan I put together when I was trying to get lean.Skimmed milk. All meats lean. Cereal for breakfast. No oils. No fats out of fear that dietary fat would make me fat.All super low cals. It’s not that there was anything inherently wrong with the plan…But it didn’t work for me.It didn’t suit.Left me undernourished, unsatisfied and led to overindulging on weekends because it wasn’t sustainable.I thought the less I ate, the leaner I’d get.It was a punishment. The issue most people face in fat loss is they set themselves up for failure by removing entire food groups or cutting out their favourite foods. They go ON a diet, with a finish line in mind. When in reality, what they need is A diet. One that suits their life and sets them up for long term sustainability.Getting lean isn’t always about eating less and adding more restriction…It’s about making wiser choices with what you’re eating. Now?I embrace fats.Eat higher cals throughout the week.Enjoy treats when I want to…cos my favourite foods fit into my lifestyle. This doesn’t happen overnight. It’s all part of the learning process. Here’s me then vs now.
CLIENT WIN: 7 weeks in 💪 Reece was training hard but spinning his wheels, no structure, energy all over the place, and no clear route to progressionWe’ve dialled in his nutrition for high energy, better satiety, and a moderate calorie deficitNo extremes, just structure and consistencyDown 5lbs on the scale & leaner through the waist, fitter overall, athletic build coming through and strength still climbing on every lift! Buzzing for the end result of this phase… gonna be insane 🔥

I used to think food was purely about calories.Calories in, calories out.And sure, calories matter. But not all calories are equal, and they don’t all affect your body or your mind the same way. What you eat, and how you eat, goes deeper.Your food affects how you think, how you show up, and how you feel about yourself. You can’t build a strong mind on weak fuel.I’ve been on both sides of the nutrition spectrum. When I started prioritising food that actually nourished me…my energy changed. My focus sharpened. The body I built became a byproduct. It wasn’t just about getting lean.It was about feeling clear. Grounded. Capable.Your diet isn’t just shaping your body, it’s shaping your energy, your thoughts, your standards.Strong body. Strong mind.Feed both like you mean it.

The issue most people face in fat loss is they set themselves up for failure
by removing entire food groups or cutting out their favourite foods.
They go ON a diet, with a finish line in mind.
When in reality, what they need is A diet.
One that suits their life and sets them up for long term sustainability.
Getting lean isn’t always about eating less and adding more restriction…
It’s about making wiser choices with what you’re eating.
