Cragend Farm
This is an imagined scene based on our real water powered Cragend Farm hydraulic Silo building that still sits at the heart of Cragend Farm. Built in 1883-1884 it was Lord Armstrong of Cragside's pride and joy as a demonstration centre for showcasing his hydraulic systems to dignitaries from around the world. In 1884
The Prince and Princess of Wales (later Edward VII) came to visit the Cragside estate and newspaper cuttings record them also visiting Cragend Farm. They visited Cragside (a house and estate in Northumberland) because of his engineering skills as it is were Armstrong had all his amazing technology such as light and heat. Despite there being no photographic evidence of them at the farm, AI comes to the rescue to show what might have been. This is our original photo, enhanced with AI-generated characters of Armstrong and the Royal couple. Our intellectual property integrity remains fully protected. Our thanks to BIPC and yulia@service-design-north.co.uk for her help making this happen.

Cragend Farm
This is an imagined scene based on our real No 490 water powered turbine that still sits at the heart of Cragend Farm. Built in 1883 it was Lord Armstrong of Cragside's pride and joy as a demonstration centre for showcasing his hydraulic systems to dignitaries from around the world. In 1896 Li Hong Zhang (aka Li Hung Chang) visited Cragside the house in Northumberland were Armstrong had all his amazing technology such as light and heat, and it is arguable that Li Hong Zhang would have also visited Cragend Farm as many did. He was a Chinese statesman of the late Qing dynasty. He held important positions in the Qing government. Despite there being no photographic evidence of him at the farm, AI comes to the rescue to show what might have been. This is our original photo, enhanced with AI-generated characters of Armstrong and Li Hun Zhang. Our intellectual property integrity remains fully protected. A throwback to when we were starting to explore this amazing building and our son made a Minecraft video of the interior and exterior for us, that was picked up by Historic England as a great way to survey buildings.
