King of the Hammers 2026 is a wrap. You never know who you're going to run into at King of the Hammers. What started out as an annual trip to offer pit and communications support for Kyle at P&P / MCI Fab, (@ObscureOffroadOfficial ) ended with connecting with Nissan owers that are local and having a quick run up Turkey Claw.
It's clear that there is a resurgence of Nissan interest in the industry. It's not just me, Many companies that I have reconnected with in the last few weeks have been reporting the same.
I'm looking forward to more wheeling and starting to get the Nissan community back together in 2026. It's clear there has been a shift since the pandemic fractured the social landscape in this space, and it's time we put it back together. Maybe even a collective Nissan camp at KoH in 2027 like old times. Overall King of the Hammers is always a good reset to set the tone for the year and I'm looking forward to pushing this space forward with projects that people took notice of in the 2nd gen, I'm getting questions about the Diamond SAS kit for the D21's again as well as lining up thoughts and plans for the @RuggedRoutes side of things.
I think it's time to shift platforms. After nearly 2 decades of long form content in the forums, and valuable information easily lost on other social platforms. I think it's time to start wheeling the Nissans again, reconnect with customers on the trail, revisit some of the history behind my Nissans and explore overlooked possibilities in the Nissan market... but all on video. Lets face it, no one likes reading anymore. The need for information that was common knowledge just 10 years ago, hasn't been carried forward to the current generation of Nissan off-road enthusiasts very well. YouTube can be a great platform among other more modern community platforms to close that gap. So, lets rebuild a community, help eachother out and get back to having some fun on the trail. -Steven
