Testimonial Hour:

A woman was told to forgive her abusive husband “seventy times seven,” to “turn the other cheek,” and reminded that “God hates divorce.” She tried to speak out, but remembered the passages used to teach that "women must be quiet" and the "10th commandment" that women are their husband’s property.”

I’m glad to say … she’s is now abruptly "resting with Jesus 😵" — who, according to the same story, was sacrificed by his own father for love.

It’s strange what suffering gets called when religion approves of it.
