Bike Story Night

Over the past few years, more than 100 storytellers have shared their bike journeys with us at Bike Story Night. 🚲From funny to heartfelt, reflective to wild, each story has added to the magic that makes this community so special.
I’ve been wanting to highlight our former storytellers for a while now, not only to relive a little of that magic, but also to inspire future storytellers who might be curious about stepping up to the mic. Huge thanks to those who took the time to answer some questions, share reflections with me and of course share their story in person at our past events. 🙏

Bike Story Night

✨💗Wow. I’m still catching my breath from all the magic that unfolded at our 20th Bike Story Night May 27th and our first ever hosted @austinyellowbike . Being surrounded by tools, wheels, frames, and a whole lot of history made the stories even better. The space itself reminded us how far we’ve come and how deeply bikes are woven into Austin’s roots. What better day to reflect than today on World Bicycle Day. Bikes connect us, move us, and build community. ✨🎤🚲🌙
I hope you all know how committed I am to this project. My hope is to continue growing and I might even have a special announcement soon, but for now I'm soaking in what we've built here together 💫

🚲✨ Meet Cynthia – A Featured Storyteller at Bike Story Night # 20! 🎤
We’re so excited to introduce Cynthia @_chiller_whale , one of our 5 featured storytellers for the upcoming Bike Story Night @austinyellowbike ! 💛
Cynthia’s story starts with her grandpa in Mexico, who never owned a car, and her dad, a passionate BMX’er. Years later, on a college trip to Costa Rica, she met a bike tourer who inspired her to take a leap. Before even owning a bike she decided to ride from Houston to Austin. That journey led her to join the cycling team at Texas State, where she eventually met her husband. 💫
A little more about Cynthia:
13 years riding, she restores vintage wood furniture and loves thrifting. She also dabbles in photography and writing.

Bike Story Night is all about celebrating our bike life, the paths that brought us here, and the joy that keeps us pedaling. ✨ Whether you're a Featured Storyteller, a Wild Card, or just want to come hear some heartfelt stories!
🗓️ When: Tuesday, May 27
