Our new album, Sector Light Failure, will be released on June 8th.
Everything is now finished and prepared. The album will be available here on YouTube as a full-length video, and on Bandcamp for anyone interested in supporting the project or exploring the release in more detail.
We don't usually communicate much outside the music itself, but we'd like to thank everyone who has followed Alder Tree over the years. Every listen, message and recommendation means a great deal to us.
If you'd like to know a little more about the album, here's the description we wrote for the Bandcamp release:
Sector Light Failure is a conceptual ambient and drone album built around maritime signals, lighthouse systems, navigation equipment and the gradual erosion of certainty.
Inspired by coastal landscapes, fog, offshore transmissions and the machinery designed to guide vessels through darkness, the album explores repetition, isolation, disorientation and psychological decay through slow-moving textures and evolving soundscapes.
Many of the track titles are derived from real nautical terminology, lighthouse technology and navigational systems. These elements serve as both technical references and metaphors for guidance, failure, perception and the fragile structures we rely on to orient ourselves.
Created as a continuous listening experience, Sector Light Failure unfolds gradually across ten instrumental pieces, moving from clarity towards interference, instability and collapse.
Released on World Oceans Day, June 8th, 2026.
If you'd like to support the album, follow the project, or download the release, you'll be able to find it on our Bandcamp page on release day.
We have been working on a new Alder Tree record over the last few months. The album is called Sector Light Failure and will be released on June 8.
This time we moved towards a more ambient and drone-oriented sound, although, as usually happens with Alder Tree, the composition process eventually led us through many different places while developing the record. The album is entirely instrumental and conceived as a conceptual work around lighthouses, maritime signals, isolation and psychological deterioration.
Thank you for listening to our music. We do not usually communicate much outside the music itself, so we sincerely appreciate everyone who still listens to Alder Tree after all this time.
Hace ya 1 mes que sacamos nuestro segundo trabajo 'Even the mud holds beauty'.
La verdad que ha llegado a mucha más gente de la que pensamos. Gracias a los que habéis compartido. Estamos haciendo más temas y probando cosas nuevas. A ver qué sale. Si está bien lo iremos subiendo. Si está mal... pues también 🤘
