Hey guys,
I'm Albert and I play bass. Maybe I'm not a super pro, but I love to play and usually I can't help feeling quite enthusiastic while doing it, which is kinda explains my channel's name :) Please excuse my making faces or headbanging during the songs, because I rarely can play while standing still.
I use this channel as a learning tool, because learning and playing songs is a good way to actually learn something.
What also makes this channel different from many other cover channels out there is that I really try to cover the songs nobody has ever covered on YouTube.
I'll try to publish a new cover every week.
Take care and don't hesitate to contact me with any comments/suggestions/questions!
Bass VS Zombies
Lately, one after another, videos have been coming out from the most famous music YouTubers about how music YouTube is dead and buried. I'm a small mouse in this giant field, but even I've noticed how much the number of views has dropped. Three years ago, any cover of a more or less well-known song would easily get a thousand views, and now it's good if a video gets a hundred. I've noticed how many my fellow musicians who used to often publish covers of their favorite music have simply disappeared and put their channels on pause. And I don't have to go far to find the reason - with what our world has become in the last three years, it's a miracle that someone, balancing on the brink of apathy, manages to do anything at all. As for me, I'll continue, because playing these bass covers is what helps me not to go completely nuts. While I'm preparing the parts and playing, I don't think about anything else, and that's great :) Besides, the transition from song to song is like the transition from location to location in some computer game; the only difference is that it's more interesting than any game. So I will go on.
There are changes in my personal life too. For example, I lost my job, which I had for 12 years of my life, and I realized that I no longer want to have anything to do with IT. While I am not too old, I want to learn a completely new profession and the process, I guess, should begin somewhere before September. Despite this, I will still have some time for myself, and I will still upload my covers and videos from concerts that I have been to from time to time. The channel is my recharge station so to speak, and it will remain so. I hope this is good news for someone :)
In the meantime, I present to your attention a fresh collaboration in which I took part. My friends and I played an old song by the Ukrainian hard rock band KPP called "Nich" (it means "night" in Ukrainian; the original lyrics were in Russian, but for this cover they were translated into Ukrainian, of course). I hope you like it. Thank you for your likes, shares, and other support! See ya later!

Greetings!
As some of you know I play for the band called DAS LETZTE LAGER and Danse Macabre Records will release our debut album "WürgeEngel" in only 2 days, on 17.06. Today we published our first video "Krankheit Mensch" and I hope you'll give it a bit of your time! Play it LOUD!

Hey, folks!
I guess it's almost time for my second movie special! A couple of years ago I've done one for "Rocky". Now it's time for another one... Well, not now but in a couple of weeks. I'll make covers for three tracks from a very popular epic movie and I hope you'll like them :) Strangely, two of these three tracks have never been played on YouTube before. Just wanted to share this because I'm feeling all excited. Stay tuned!

Hey, folks!
As you might notice this channel isn't really active lately. Also, as you know I was born in Ukraine. I'm sure you understand that these two facts are related to each other. As for now, the Russian army is trying to destroy my homeland. My beautiful hometown Charkiw is in ruins. Of course, Russians will fail BIG TIME but for now, music is the last thing that comes to my mind. Yes, I live in Germany, I'm a German citizen but it doesn't mean I can't help with this and that, like money, information, help to the refugees, etc. I'm deep in all that right now, so... yeah, please stand by. I'll be back as soon as music makes sense again. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!

Hey, folks!
This year isn't ending well for me, in September I caught severe bronchitis and when I started to get better I caught it again, for the second time in a row, so... yep, I haven't got a bass in my hands for a couple of weeks now because I feel so weak and crappy. Anyway, I hope I'll get a bit better soon and can release a new cover next Monday. And if not, then we'll have to wait a bit longer.
On a positive note, now I'm officially the bassman for the death metal band DAS LETZTE LAGER (letzte-lager.rocks/ - I'm mentioned as Lexx there) and I hope I'll be able to share some music and - who knows - also videos soon. We already have some concert plans for 2022 ;) That is so great... all I have to do is to get better to be able to rehearse again. Where's my metal health? :)

Hey, folks!
Just in case some of you think I started to pay way less attention to this channel, I have to say "Yeah, you're right" :) It's temporary though since I have a lot on my hands right now. Particularly, I have an audition for a band in a day and I'm spending a lot of time practicing and memorizing their songs. It doesn't mean I'm in a band yet, it's just an audition but... who knows :) I mean all of us think "I suck" sometimes but I strongly believe that it shouldn't stop us from moving somewhere. I won almost every time I thought I wasn't good enough and still tried. Not because I was fooling myself and actually was perfect but rather because perfection isn't what people want. So yeah, I'm a bit scared, on guard, and stuff but I'm also thrilled to try this band thing once again. Because hey... if you love music and play an instrument there's nothing like playing on a stage! Nothing. It's a drug seeing someone in a club at least nodding along with your music, let alone clapping hands or singing. It. Is. A. Drug. So, wish me luck to get a huge dose of it soon :)
The next bass cover is in the works already and I promise you it's as obscure as it gets lol :)
See you soon!

Hey, folks!
Since so many people asked me about my Arachnid bass hand-made by Neal Moser (of B.C.Rich fame) I'd like to use this channel to let you know you can buy it now on Reverb.com: reverb.com/item/42783613-neal-moser-arachnid-bass-…
From my perspective, it's great, surely one of a kind and probably I would keep it if I was a bit richer :) The electronics, the wood, everything is top here, though you have to keep in mind the simple fact that this particular bass has a very original form. It means it's rather only for playing standing and of course you'd have to get used to it generally. Anyway, if you want it here's your chance!

Hey, folks! I have to take a short pause with the channel because of THAT time of year. Allergy season. Those damn pollen are trying to kill me again and I tell you you don't wanna see my comatose red face gasping for air on your screen :) It's really bad in my case, especially since I'm asthmatic too and those two bastards (allergy and asthma) can be very effective together.
And you know what's interesting? I've never had any allergies before I came to Germany! I have a lot of friends from other countries who also live in Germany and like75% of them are allergic too now. I mean they've never been allergic before but they are now. Germany, WTF?!
I'll be back as soon as I feel a bit better! Very soon, hopefully.
Stay safe!

Hey, folks, what's up?!
Sorry for a pause on this channel but I had to reconsider it a bit. You see, initially, I created this channel to play the music I liked and mainly the stuff that no one else does or at least the songs you don't hear on YouTube that often. However, lately, I noticed that I happened to fall into some kind of strict schedule and most songs on my list are the ones I feel close to nothing about at the moment. It's like you hear a song and you think "Wow, it's awesome, I should do it!" and you put it on your schedule in say two months from now. And in two months you start working on it and the song is still great, of course, but... it just doesn't work. Your excitement you had two months ago disappeared for some reason, you don't feel like doing it right now. For example, you have a metal song on the list but right now you're into new wave and it feels awkward to play metal when your head is in a completely different place. Yet, you feel you still have to do it since... you know, schedule! Big deal!
I don't want to lie to myself anymore, it's just no fun doing like this. Basically, I spent the last week doing a cover of a song I knew would get some interest and views, etc, but the feeling wasn't there. So I snapped. Like, why am I doing this? It's not a freaking day job, it should be fun! So, from now on screw that schedule and screw all plans whatsoever! And now I'm doing a song no one would ever cover :) You'll see :) Super-duper obscure stuff I love so much!
Stay safe and tuned!
