I’ve played a lot of guitars… but never one like this.

I took this guitar with me everywhere for a day — early morning practice, the car, up to the hillside — to see how different a guitar designed for on-the-go playing could really be.

It definitely surprised me more than I expected!

Quad Cortex Update CorOS 3.1.0 is here! Outside of some cool improvements and expanded plug-in support, we also got a couple of amp updates and some new FX. This is may be one of the best reasons to have a modeler- getting those overnight updates that expand the tonal offerings of the unit is pretty cool!

While the new FX this time were maybe not as game-changing as the last round, I still found a few to be surprisingly useful!

• The Subharmonic Synth: can give some really nasty tones especially when paired with a fuzz.


• The updated US DLX amps sound great. I'm not sure if they sound significantly different than what we had before, but the "High Low" Input Toggle and the Mode menus do offer some cool wrinkles to your tone.

I decided on my last day before tour to power through it and get one final video shot. When I went to edit it while on the road, I realized that in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, I forgot to download the footage onto my computer. I called my wife to see if her computer had an SD card slot which of course, it did not. So, I bought an SD card adapter and shipped it to her, purchased some cloud storage to be able to access the footage, and she uploaded all of my files for me to edit. I tried my best to get the video out on time, but ended up finishing a little later than normal. I'm not sure I've gone through so many hoops to get a video out on time, but hey, cool story right? All things considered, I'm actually pretty stoked with how this video came out. Most importantly, a huge thank you to my wife for making this video even possible. She's really the best partner I could ask for and the biggest blessing!
