It is recommended to replace your running shoes every 300-500 miles because it's typically at that time when the midsole cushioning will lose resiliency and stop absorbing shock, which will wreak havoc on your muscles and joints. Think about this for a minute: Are you striving for 10,000 steps per day? Based on the average person's stride, 10,000 steps is pretty close to about 5 miles. So 5 days a week of hitting 10,000 steps is putting you at about 25 miles per week. That means in 12 weeks you'll be needing to consider if it's time to replace your shoes. Crazy, right?? But -- we need to stay active and moving every day if we want to stay healthy! I know good quality shoes are expensive, but I'd venture to say buying 3-4 new pairs of shoes a year for an active person is going to be far less expensive than not being active and ending up with costly medical problems to deal with. Having good quality shoes on your feet also aids in the prevention of hip, joint and back problems, because when one area of our body experiences discomfort, other areas step up to compensate and take the load off. This is partly what can lead to muscle imbalances and injury. I can usually tell it's time for a new pair of shoes when my big toe pushes a hole in the top of my running shoes. That is the first thing I notice, not the discomfort my feet feel during workouts. This week, I finally took the time to find a good pair of running shoes to replace my old ones. I put them on this morning for the first time and WOW! What a difference I feel in my feet just standing in them. I haven't even hopped on the treadmill yet! Also, it's hard to find gym shoes these days that aren't super ugly. Am I right?? Today, I'm celebrating that earlier this week I got an email from ID.me that Brooks was having a 40% off sale for veterans. I jumped on it and saved $40 on these! Woohoo! When was the last time you swapped out your athletic shoes? Did you know it also matters what type of shoe you wear for specific types of exercise? I'm on the hunt for a new pair of cross-trainer shoes as well! When you're lifting heavy weights, you should be in a flat-bottomed shoe that helps your foot remain stable on the ground. When you're running, you need lots of cushion and a quality running shoe. When you're doing any other kind of exercise a good cross-trainer shoe is helpful! The more you know... ๐๐

Nothing changes if nothing changes.
So let me ask you a question. If you change nothing, what will it cost you a year from now?
Your health?
A relationship?
Your financial security?
Confidence?
Sure, change is hard and very uncertain. It's risky. You could fail and feel like a fool. You could get hurt.
Or... you could lose that extra weight that's making you sick. You could finally get off those medications. You could save your marriage. You could fall in love. You could discover happiness you never thought was possible. You could be living the life you've always wanted. You could have financial freedom!
Every single minute that passes is one more minute of your life you'll never get back. Are you okay with staying in your current state of poor health? Are you okay with the relationship that isn't meeting your needs? Are you okay with feeling fat?
Are you okay with staying at a job that you dread going to every day?
Don't settle for less than you want in this life!

Yeah, you could do this getting healthier and losing fat thing on your own. I mean...that's what you've been doing all along isn't it?
Bouncing around from diet to diet, try this supplement, drink that shake... But is it working for you? Are you getting the results you want? Einstein once said,
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Maybe it's time to try something new. Something that is healthy, safe and sustainable for the rest of your life.
Let me help you find the renewed health, the weight loss, and the happiness you've been craving. Visit my website, fitforlifebody.com, and connect with me if you're ready to get lifelong results.
