اور فرمایا:
"کوئی شخص ایمان کا حقیقی مزہ نہیں چکھ سکتا،
چاہے وہ کثرت سے نماز پڑھتا ہو اور روزے رکھتا ہو،
جب تک کہ اس کی محبت اور دشمنی سب کچھ اللہ
کے لیے نہ ہو۔"

حضرت امیرالمؤمنین علی علیہ السلام نے فرمایا:
ایمان کے چار ستون ہیں:
1. اللہ پر توکل،
2. اپنے تمام امور کو اللہ کے سپرد کرنا،
3. اللہ کے حکم کے آگے سرِ تسلیم خم کرنا،
4. اللہ کے فیصلے پر راضی رہنا۔
اور کفر کے چار ستون ہیں:
1. دنیا کی حرص و رغبت،
2. (باطل) خوف،
3. غصہ،
4. شہوت (نفس کی پیروی)۔
