A solo exhibition by Yewande Kotun Davis aka The Resolute Rose
Restorative Joy: Recollecting Black Innocence is the first solo exhibition by Yewande Kotun Davis.
The collection is a meeting between the inner child and the adult. As we heal, we begin to recognize that much about us originated from how we experienced our childhood. From the subject matter to the use of color and texture, Yewande challenges viewers to revisit the most colorful moments of their childhood/youth and confront how it has impacted the way that both joy and grief are processed today. The present-day talk of reparenting, decolonizing one's mind, and taking up divine space requires us to revisit and nurture our inner child as well as the collective that impacted him or her, face what was right and what was wrong, and allow a chance at redemption for ultimate healing.
The live (in-person) opening reception will be held on Friday, October 15 from 6-9 PM at Brickrose Exchange in Baltimore, MD. After the live opening, virtual access to the online exhibition will be available until November 5.

Hello and welcome to Our Real Life Transformation! A huge thank you to everyone for participating and making this channel successful! 🙌 Thanks be to God for allowing this opportunity to really do something positive for myself and others. This community is all about self-improvement. I want to make my life better than it was with effort put forth each day. The invitation to join me in this endeavor is open to all with a like mind. I'm all about perseverance, determination, working hard, and reaping the rewards. I want to enjoy life and enjoy this transformation process.
