The @TwoNotestv Torpedo Captor X+ isn’t just a small upgrade—it actually changes how this thing feels under your fingers.
I’ve had the original Captor X in my studio for 3 years—it’s been a constant in my setup. So I know exactly how it responds… and what’s different here.
Reactive load, built-in attenuation, stereo IRs… but the real shift is the added control with the virtual load. You can push your amp hard and actually shape the response instead of fixing it later.
I’ve been running this in a real-world setup, and the differences show up fast when you A/B it.
Full breakdown + side-by-side in the YouTube video.
Cooking up some new music. Here are a few of the essential tools I’m using to get the job done but you definitely do not need all this stuff to make bad ass music.
Happy Sunday Friends, play guitar and make some noise. LFG
The Boss Metal Zone was my dream pedal when I was growing up and learning how to play guitar in the late 90’s. However I couldn’t afford it as a kid! Well 30 years later I finally got one. And it surprised me. Video is now live. Full send. LFG.
I took a raw demo and turned it into a Spotify-ready track using ONLY the NUX Amp Academy Stomp. After 30 years of playing and owning over 100 pedals, I wanted to see if this budget-friendly unit could actually replace a pro studio rig.
Supposedly, it’s a JCM800 in a pedal. Whether it hits that exact mark is still up for debate, but it just turned my Origin 20 into a total monster. Think hot-rodded Plexi vibes for days. Full tone report coming soon. Who else is running @jhspedals Angry Charlie on their board?
A couple weeks Josh Scott from @jhspedals made a video claiming the EHX 16 Second Digital Delay was the best delay ever. Well, I disagree Josh! IMO the TC Electronic Nova delay is the GOAT and I made a video about it:
My brother @TheIanBlackwood and I just dropped the next chapter of Villain Heart x Ian Blackwood.
We took a massive swing to prove that you don’t need $10,000 in gear to make a record. We spent the last few months pushing a beginner guitar and a beginner drum kit from @Donnermusic_Official to their absolute limit.
To keep it as real as possible, I tracked all the guitar tones using the FREE version of the @ikmultimedia ToneX plugin. No expensive tube amps, just a $100 guitar and a computer.
The journey was a total roller coaster, but the song "A Lifetime Ago" is officially out now on all streaming platforms!
The best part? The gear has already found a new home. I was able to donate the guitar to Harmonized Rocks to help kids in our community get free music education and start their own journey.

Last week Two Notes Audio Engineering dropped the Torpedo Captor X +… and yeah, it looks insane.
All the videos had me missing tube amps—so I fired up the OG Torpedo Captor X with my Vox AC15.
Still hits. Still loud. Still badass.
Full video below.

When I was a kid, Gibson guitars were everywhere.
Slash, Jimmy Page, all the guitar heroes played them.
But today… most young guitar players aren’t picking them up.
In this video I break down why kids don’t play Gibson guitars anymore.
Curious what you think.
When did you buy your first Gibson? And how old were you?
