@tbudcrawford Era — three-division, undisputed champion, the greatest pound-for-pound fighter alive. Last night he didn’t just beat Canelo on Netflix in front of millions… he outclassed him.

I remember all the people calling him crazy for stepping up two weight classes, saying he was too slow, not on Canelo’s level. But my belief in Bud was unshakable. I grew up a Bud fan — there was no way that man was going to take an L.

I’m in Italy, six hours ahead, and I stayed up streaming the fight half-asleep just so I wouldn’t miss a single punch. And it was worth every second to see my guy outshine the man y’all thought would hand him his first loss. Instead, Bud handed Canelo another L — walked in with a guitar intro and a full Mexican band, locked in from the first bell, on mama.

When the fight ended and Bud broke down in tears, I felt that deep. Wearing those colors, carrying that weight, proving people wrong your whole life — that’s not easy. But there’s a small group of us who’ve believed in you since day one, because we’ve seen what you’re capable of.

I’m just glad the whole world finally got to witness the @tbudcrawford Era.

See you soon, Montreal ❤️ This trip was different… Guida, my true ride or die, needed to rest and take care of herself. Nothing serious, but absolutely necessary. That meant I had to step up, teach every single day, and hold it down for the students. Funny thing is, I actually enjoyed it. I met new faces, kept the OGs close, and watched Alan & Nerlyne rise from students to instructors. That growth made me proud—well done, team. 👏🏿

Now I’m sitting at the airport, heading out through Washington DC, and I can’t stop thinking how blessed I am. All over the globe, I have friends who open their doors to me—no hotels, no Airbnbs—just warm food, a bed, laughter, and deep conversations. After all these years as an artist, the greatest gift I’ve kept are those real connections, those genuine bonds. People who don’t care about followers or fame, they care about me. And when they call me, they don’t say “Dr. Kizomba.” They simply say “Manuel.” 💙

Happy Birthday to my brother Jean Mary 🎉 What a beautiful celebration filled with love, laughter, and family. Of course Sonia made it extra special — her touch always brings people together in the most magical way. The backyard was glowing with Black Excellence, beautiful people everywhere, good vibes flowing like the music. The car show? Unreal. We shut the streets down with pure pride and joy. Even had a pianist setting the mood — it felt like we were living inside a movie.

Dr. Kizomba behind the bar serving my special “Fruit Punch” — that secret recipe that always gets the crowd smiling, dancing, and turning up. I don’t bartend often, but when I do, it’s for moments like this, for people who mean the world to me. All the OGs pulled up, making it feel like a true Laval special edition, a night we’ll carry in our hearts forever. Can’t wait for the next one.
