Meet Asaase Yaa - Mother Earth.
This is the first of my mixed media pieces I have created. She is made up of acrylic paint, tissue paper, cowryshells, cardboard and not to forget about the hand made canvas.
She is the symbol of Ancestral Intelligence (not your usual AI).
The journey of putting this piece together wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Sitsofe Sheila Attah who played an integral part in this discovery.
May we all continue to mother our tongue so that it would continue to mother us.
