ایک گاؤں میں ملا نصرالدین اپنی بیوی کے ساتھ رہتے تھے۔ ملا نصرالدین اپنی حاضر جوابی اور عجیب و غریب حرکتوں کی وجہ سے مشہور تھے، مگر ان کی بیوی اپنی خاموش عقل مندی اور معاملہ فہمی کے لیے جانی جاتی تھی۔ اکثر لوگ سمجھتے تھے کہ گھر کے فیصلے ملا نصرالدین کرتے ہیں، لیکن اصل میں مشکل وقت میں ان کی بیوی ہی مسئلہ حل کرتی تھیں۔
ایک دن گاؤں کے رئیس نے ملا نصرالدین سے اپنا قیمتی قالین امانت کے طور پر رکھوا دیا۔ بدقسمتی سے چند دن بعد وہ قالین گھر میں رکھے رکھے خراب ہو گیا۔ رئیس کو جب پتا چلا تو وہ غصے میں آگ بگولہ ہو گیا اور ملا نصرالدین سے قالین کی قیمت مانگنے لگا۔ ملا نصرالدین پریشان ہو گئے، نہ ان کے پاس اتنے پیسے تھے اور نہ ہی کوئی فوری حل۔

**کہانی پوسٹ: ملا نصرالدین اور تاجر کا قرض**
ایک دن ملا نصرالدین کے محلے میں ایک امیر تاجر آیا۔ تاجر نے ملا نصرالدین کو کچھ رقم قرض دی تھی اور اب وہ رقم واپس مانگنے آ گیا۔ تاجر غصے میں تھا اور بار بار کہہ رہا تھا:
“ملا نصرالدین! آج ہر حال میں میرا قرض واپس کرو۔”
ملا نصرالدین نے بڑے سکون سے جواب دیا:
“بھائی، غصہ نہ کرو، پہلے چائے پیو، پھر بات کریں گے۔”
چائے پینے کے بعد ملا نصرالدین نے تاجر کو اپنے گھر کے صحن میں بٹھایا اور کہا:
“میں تمہیں ابھی تمہارا قرض واپس کرتا ہوں، لیکن ایک شرط ہے۔”
تاجر فوراً بولا:
“کون سی شرط؟”
ملا نصرالدین مسکرائے اور بولے:
“یہ رقم میں تمہیں تب دوں گا جب تم یہ مان لو گے کہ قرض صرف پیسوں کا نہیں ہوتا، کبھی صبر کا بھی ہوتا ہے۔”
یہ کہہ کر ملا نصرالدین اندر گئے، ایک چھوٹی تھیلی لے آئے اور تاجر کے ہاتھ میں رکھ دی۔ تاجر نے خوشی سے تھیلی کھولی تو اس میں آدھی رقم تھی۔ غصے سے بولا:
“یہ کیا؟ باقی رقم کہاں ہے؟”
ملا نصرالدین ہنستے ہوئے بولے:
“آدھی رقم میں نے تمہیں دے دی، باقی آدھی میں نے تمہارے غصے کے بدلے رکھ لی۔ اگر تم صبر سے آتے، تو پوری رقم مل جاتی۔”
تاجر کو اپنی غلطی کا احساس ہوا۔ اس نے شرمندگی سے سر جھکا لیا اور کہا:
“ملا نصرالدین، آج مجھے سمجھ آ گیا کہ عقل اور برداشت پیسوں سے زیادہ قیمتی ہوتی ہے۔”
ملا نصرالدین نے مسکرا کر جواب دیا:
“بس یہی سبق تھا، قرض ادا ہو گیا—پیسوں کا بھی اور عقل کا بھی۔”
