Hey, I'm Chris. I've been in IT for years, and PC-Addicts is where I show it the way it really works — not scripted, not polished, just me working through it and sharing what I know.
Right now I'm building an entire mock company's IT from scratch: servers, Active Directory, VMware and XCP-ng, PowerShell, single sign-on, and cloud identity — using AI as a real tool along the way. If you're learning IT, running a home lab, or leveling up as a sysadmin, come build it with me.
New videos every week. Glad you're here.

New upload: Build a $900 Enterprise Home Lab for Windows Server & AD.
Two hypervisors, shared storage, and a real Windows domain — done for under a grand. This one's the planning-and-buying stage: the exact parts, the honest cost, and the ESXi NIC gotcha that trips people up.
If you want somewhere to practice Server and AD that isn't your day job, start here.

No live stream today — this is why.
My machine's been maxed out for two days on a project I'm building for photographers. Can't say much yet, but that's training round four in the pic — 27GB of RAM and still dead quiet.
Wraps tomorrow morning. Regular server/lab content right after.

What's up everybody 👋
A lot of you have asked over the years if I'd share the actual scripts from my "Sr. SysAdmin PowerShell Scripts" series — the real ones I wrote across 13 years as a hospital systems administrator. Good news: they're finally up.
I wrote a full walkthrough for each one and put the actual .ps1 files on GitHub so you can just grab them. Free, MIT licensed — steal them, use them at work, tweak them for your environment, whatever you need.
📝 Written guides + full library: pc-addicts.com/tutorials/sysadmin-powershell-scrip…
💾 GitHub: github.com/socaldavis/powershell-for-sysadmins
A few of the ones people ask about the most:
• See who's logged into a remote PC
• The daily HR-to-Active-Directory automation
• Test a user's AD credentials without locking them out
• Export folder permissions (ACLs) to CSV
• Disable inactive AD accounts
If you're looking for a specific script from the videos and you don't see it up there, I might've missed one — let me know in the comments and I'll get it added. And if there's one you want me to do a full standalone video on, tell me that too. All right guys, later.

It's official — PC-Addicts is back.
After a long quiet stretch, the camera's set up, OBS is rolling, and this time there's a real plan: build a mock enterprise from scratch and turn every step into a video. Hypervisors, Windows Server, Active Directory, clients — the whole thing.
The build: four hosts, two on VMware ESXi and two on XCP-ng. We start with server basics on ESXi, then migrate the whole environment over to XCP-ng — hardware planning shown on camera.
New tutorial every Tuesday. This first one lays out the plan.
Watch it and let me know what you want to see built first.

New home base: pc-addicts.com is live.
I'm building out written companion posts for the tutorials — the exact commands, scripts, and screenshots, so you can follow along without scrubbing back and forth. PowerShell you can copy/paste, the AD stuff, the home-lab builds.
It's a work in progress — I'm adding write-ups as I go, and every new Tuesday tutorial lands on the site the same day. More of the back catalog coming soon.
