Our new song Well Organised with Lila Iké is out now! This song is about finding hope by the experience of music and the sort of healing power that it holds to overcome pain. It features Lila Iké, an amazing vocalist from Jamaica who stars in this incredible video that we shot out there recently.
When writing this album 'Here Because Of Hope' we were looking at the wider theme of hope and we decided that we wanted to start in West Africa and then go to the Caribbean before eventually ending back up in the UK. We wanted to sonically cover as many places as we could in the Caribbean, so it led us to soca and reggae, which is widely found across the region.
“The Caribbean movement of the album is one that I'm quite proud of because it's like a tribute to the place that I'm from. I've got a lot of nostalgia for it as a place, but a sort of nostalgia for a place I don't know as well as I wish I did. Nostalgia for a place I didn't grow up in.” - James
