Was pastel goth eventually "rebranded" as something else or did the style fade away entirely? It was pretty popular in the early to mid 2010's up until 2015 I think, then the style just vanished. If I recall, pastel goth was debated sometimes as not being "real goth" with it being nothing more than a cutesy bastardized version of goths. Kind of reminded me of the whole 'scenes aren't real emos' debacle from years ago. Now I really do think history repeats itself lol. Especially with how "emocore" is looked down upon by some stating it to be a terrible ripoff or misinterpreted representation of emo culture with many things shoehorned in for the modern day person like "sad rap" and other stuff thrown in just for the "vibes".

Whether it's unsubscribing users, hiding content from small creators, or whatever issues users face, they're doing it. I've been dealing with this problem since 2017 or 2018. Every time I uploaded a video, I noticed my channel's subscribers steadily declining, which made me very suspicious. Just the other day, I had 6,107 subscribers even though I hadn't uploaded a video in a while. Yesterday, I uploaded a video and lost 3 subscribers. And this happens every single time I upload a video. It seems now is the time for everyone else to see for themselves how YouTube is negatively impacting their own channels.
Today as I woke up and the birds were out singing, I was deciding on what to do today on my birthday. But before I got out of bed to start the day, I laid in bed for a while staring at the ceiling quietly. Without much thought I decided to simply stay at home where I am content. Home is where I feel happy, safe and have a personal space of my own. It is where I can shut myself off from the world if I choose to and not listen to all the madness be it from out in public or online. And that is what I decided to do today, my typical daily introverted things I do everyday which I couldn't have it any other way. Oh yeah and I got cake to celebrate but it was a mere quick errand for the special occasion and then I stayed at home. I'm not at all gog about birthday's but cake is a must.

I don't know what happened, but miraculously Youtube gave me my channel back. Now I hope these aren't japes, although I wouldn't be surprised if it were. At the moment, I am a little happy to have it back. However, with it comes the occasional people who want to cause trouble or nitpick at the things I do, when all I want to do is enjoy editing without limits. The thought of giving up this channel has occurred to me, but I'm not sure yet. This channel brings back good memories of when I first started editing, a comfortable feeling that reminds me of learning how to edit with Vegas Pro 10 all by myself without tutorials. But now all I see in this channel is a hub for "mlp ytp's", it is constantly being thrown in with "elsagate type channels" and people roaring outrageous comments. My other channel may be new, but to me it feels like a nice fresh start, something I've been yearning for some time now. It's a small channel, yes, but I feel better having a really small audience than having 6,000 people just waiting for me to upload more content. Any further feedback would be appreciated as I am bewildered on what to do with the return of my old Youtube channel.

Too many news channels and comedians who aren't funny plague this website as well, this website feels very foreign to what it once was. Thankfully I have a nico account, it's quiet for the most part, not as popular as YouTube but it remains a nice place to just upload content that's fun or worth watching. Don't forget about archive.org, sometimes new things are uploaded there too, both old or new videos.

I'm abandoning YouTube, this website no longer is good to use anymore. All it is now is a platform filled with ridiculous video essays on the dumbest things, YouTubers reporting drama on other YouTubers, absurdist videos being recommended to me and an overall bad environment to be in. Too many news channels and comedians who aren't funny plague this website as well, this website feels very foreign to what it once was.
