If you don't have much time to look and apply for jobs in Upwork everyday, you might want to turn on your Availability Badge like in the photo below.

Clients will see that you're "available now" for projects or work, so there's a higher chance they will invite you or message you for work.

I tried doing this last year, and I got several invites to work with them. Also, I noticed that you're more likely to be on the first page of the talent search when the client is browsing.
