I took a little pause, as I’ve taken a lot of pauses on and off this year just to focus on things I need to get done while keeping in charge of my energy (especially on social media) during these difficult times, but I ran out of my magickal body wash.

Yeah, I do a witchy upgrade to a bottle of body wash that I use every time I take a shower, for magickal cleansing, and protecting my vibe. So I decided it would be a good idea to make a video and show you how I do it because it might inspire you to use this really accessible magical method to create a ritual shower that’s easy to do even when your energy is low or you’re feeling distracted.

I love this kind of magic because you put the energy into it one time when you create the wash and then it’s there for you whenever you need it. I’m hoping that I can get this video shot and edited today and uploaded for my Patreon members and then it’ll be ready for everyone else on YouTube the following day should be today or tomorrow. Well, I better get moving on this or I’ll never get it done. Hope everyone’s doing well. Staying safe and happy and healthy!

Not everyone is able to go to a protest for lots of reasons, even if they feel strongly about exercising their constitutionally protected power. For those who don’t know, the No Kings movement is a reminder that America does not have a king, that we will not tolerate a king or dictator, and that the power of America is with its people. The phrase “We the People” means everyone, regardless of race, religion, country of origin, sex, or gender or political affiliation. Protest and dissent is the most American action there is and it’s what this country was founded on. If you are unable to join in person but wish you could, this doesn’t mean that you can’t still take part. Here’s a few ideas:

1. Contact your local new stations. Tell them that you expect them to present fair and honest coverage of the peaceful No Kings protests in your state.

2. Choose today to make a small donation to an organization of your choice that is helping like the ACLU, American Federation of Teachers, or The Trevor Project.

3. Contact your federal and state representatives and leave a message on their answering machines. Tell them what you would want to say if you were at the protest. Keep it civil, keep it smart, and keep it legal.

4. Protest with your dollars. Many people change their shopping habits to support businesses aligned with their values. Depending on where you live this can be difficult but changing one or two brands can be enough to make a small difference adding to big change.

5. Tend to the soul of the movement. I encourage you to choose at least one real world action, but I’m part of the witchcraft community, many of us are holding space through spellwork to protect protesters and other marginalized communities on a regular basis. Many other groups do this work through prayer or meditation, ramping up this work on days like this can help you feel empowered and connected to the people doing the work on the ground.

No matter where you are or what actions you are able to take you are valuable, you are important, you are not alone. #nokings #nokingsinamerica

Filming a new video today! Switched out my last nail wraps yesterday afternoon, and I’m getting ready to shoot footage for “doing things with my hands” shots for a new bit of mirror magick called a “mirrored sentinel.” Everyone wants protection magick these days and this is a good one. I’m working on having it ready for you on YouTube this weekend! Yes, this is another ‪@lilyandfoxofficial‬ under three bucks nail wrap mani, (not sponsored) because I’m a fancy witch bitch on a budget! I got tons of compliments out in public with my last set of orange with black cats, the vets office especially appreciated them!

I don’t do a lot of pink usually, but I really liked this set. The pink is kind of shades of a lavender mauve, and with the addition of solid black wraps and the black graphic stars and bats it’s giving me kind of a little pastel punk/goth vibe. This is a fun set. I think it’ll look nice in the video and I’ll enjoy wearing them for a couple of weeks, although I’ve got a couple Halloween book events this month so I might end up changing them out sooner for some more traditional Halloween colors and designs. We will see what inspires me.

That other set lasted about two weeks even through hand washing dishes. I use Orly Bonder under them and Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Shiny Brilliant top coat. I’ll probably do a video tutorial at some point to show how I do mine because they do last a pretty long time.

I need to order a few new sets while they have their Halloween designs out, because as you know, it’s Halloween all year for me. ( plus the free shipping doesn’t hurt.)

Anyway, I can’t wait to get this new mirror magick video ready for everybody.

I’m really excited about how this turned out, and I can’t wait to share it with you! If you haven’t hit the subscribe button and the notification bell on my YouTube channel, make sure you do that. I did my nails last night so that I would be ready for my “doing things with my hands” shots for part two of my Cat Magick YouTube series! I’ll be showing ways to work with cat energy in your witchcraft. Part one was all about the history and folklore of cats and witches if you haven’t caught that one yet it’s already up on YouTube. Anyway, I thought this nail design was perfect for cat videos don’t you? I was worried the orange was gonna be too bright, but once I got them on, I really like them.

I’m not a girl who usually spends time or money at a nail salon, I like to do them myself. And since most of you know, I am an artist but you might be wondering how I managed to get these perfect little cats on my nails, even using my left. Well, I did not paint these, they are nail wraps from ‪@lilyandfoxofficial‬ (not sponsored I just love them ) I use Orly Bonder under them and Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Shiny Brilliant top coat.

I applied them last night while watching Donnie Darko. I actually removed the purple spiderweb ones that I did last time only two days ago, and I had to go back to my Instagram post to see when I first put those on. Friends! That was September 6 and tomorrow is October 1, I’m shook! That’s a stupid amount of time for me to not have to do my nails. And they don’t always last that long, but just for reference, we don’t have a dishwasher, I have to wash dishes by hand so that’s saying a lot. I just ordered a bunch of new Halloween designs from them (and now they have more so I’m gonna have to pick up a few more sets since they’re only $2.99 each) because as you know, it’s Halloween all year for me.

Anyway, I highly recommend these, it’s a really fun way to have awesome, artful nails when you’re on a budget. I order from their website and the shipping is even free.
