اپنے جذبوں کی سلیم آپ اٹھائی ہم نے
زندگی سن تو سہی کیسے نبھائی ہم نے
ہر گھڑی درد کو ہنس کر ہی سہا ہے دل نے
ہر خوشی وقت پہ چپ چاپ گنوائی ہم نے
لوگ ملتے گئے، رستے بدلتے گئے
پھر بھی تنہائی کی رسم نبھائی ہم نے
مڑ کے دیکھا تو راہِ زیست کو تنہا پایا
تب یہ معلوم ہوا، عمر گنوائی ہم نے
خود کو ہر موڑ پہ کھو کر بھی سنوارا کیسے؟
یہ کمالِ صبر تھا، ضبط دکھائی ہم نے
اب جو سائے ہیں فقط یاد کی دیواروں پر
یہ وہ لمحے ہیں جو چپ چاپ سجائی ہم نے
