This is Wil and Meeke's Culture Proof channel.

Follow this channel for practical wisdom pertaining to life and godliness all taken from the straightedge- the Word of God. Here we examine the intersection of family and culture and equip parents to make their kids impervious to cultural trends that are antithetical to the Faith.

We are unapologetic followers of Christ. Married nearly 20 years, we are raising six children who are discipled, trained, and educated at home. We firmly believe we can fortify our kids to live for the glory of God in their generation.

On this channel you can expect us to tackle all of the tough topics from a Biblical perspective. While we must live in this culture, we must not allow this culture to live in us.

We hope you enjoy our public content and our behind the scenes interactions with our children.

Our podcast out today discusses the Call Her Daddy Effect.

According to Apple Podcasts, CHD is “the most-listened to podcast by women,”. In 2024, SiriusXM sold it as, "attracting millions of listeners per episode" and on Spotify, it is the number one podcast for women globally! CHD is not alone in this market. (I'm embarrassed to say the names of some of the others)

These podcasts have normalized public discussions about private matters. Women have been empowered to live their fantasies and demand their fulfillment. Vulgar, coarse, and explicit discussions fill the ears of millions of women around the world. This includes Christian women!! You could call it audio p*rn. The effect has been a collective shift in what researchers call "sexual scripts." (We upact this in the episode.)

We believe this has created more female child predators than we've ever seen. Astonishingly, this is really pronounced in public education with a rise in female teachers assaulting male students and hiding behind their gender. The Dept. of Education (which has a vested interest in underreporting), commissioned a federal review of educator s*xual misconduct. They found that, "sexual misconduct by school employees was a real and under-addressed problem. By one estimate in the report, roughly 9.6% of students experience some form of educator sexual misconduct before graduation." Female teachers assaulting male students, is a serious and visible subset of this larger problem.

I once had a conversation with a Muslim friend. He took a seat across from me as I was reading my Bible.

He said, “I know you’re going to go to Heaven. You read your Bible, you’re not like some other people who say they are Christians.” I smiled at him and said, “I also know that I’m going to Heaven, but it’s not because I read my Bible. It’s because I’ve put my full trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of my sin. I believe that His death and resurrection cleared me before God.” He smiled. Then he asked, “What about me, do you say I’m going to Heaven?”

I answered him flatly, “No, I would not say you’re going to Heaven.” He slammed his hands on the table and pushed his chair back. He was angry. “I just told you you’re going to Heaven and you know I pray five times a day, you know I’m a good man and you tell me I will not go to Heaven??”

“Why does it matter what I say?” I asked him. Why aren’t you sure that what you’re doing is enough apart from my opinion?” I explained to him the Gospel and the importance of Who Jesus is. He could not believe that Jesus is God. Good teacher? Yes. Son of God? No. He could not accept that just believing that would save anyone. He was raised to believe that Allah requires works and humiliation. No one can just believe and go to Heaven… Allah requires works…

As long as I knew him, he didn’t believe. He maintained that we were both good people with a belief in God. We’re not the same. Biblically defined Christianity is not one belief among many. It divides, includes and excludes. It makes us strange and different. It asserts absolutes with no concessions. The time is now for Christians to embrace our peculiar tension. We must reach people with Truth not platitudes. Know Him and don’t be ashamed of Him.

This is my sincere and humble public confession. No excuses, no defense. I knew better but failed to operate accordingly.

The podcast we're dropping today was difficult to record. As I did more and more research, I realized that I was part of the problem I was gearing up to lament. Unlike most podcast episodes, I spent quite a bit of time repenting during preparation. The more I prepared, the heavier my heart felt.

Paul wrote to the Corinthians "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures," (1 Cor. 15:3). We have one Gospel, one Faith, one Body, one Bride. The identity of the True Church only comes by adherence to what we received - once. As Jude put it we have a, "common salvation". He further wrote that we are to, "contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints."

I'm dismayed that I spent so many years pretending that political alliance confirmed Gospel fidelity. All faiths don't lead to Heaven and if we all basically believe the same, there is no need for schism. I wish I were looking back on working across denominations. I'm not. I'm talking about distinct theological differences that I knowingly pretended weren't there. I participated in the political ecumenical movement. I cannot mourn this enough. There is only ONE GOSPEL. I subordinated the fact of Scripture to political expediency. I repent. Jesus is worthy.

For Context: Based on the comments defending Ben Shapiro the context of this post which I couldn't post here is the back and forth I see them doing on X. The quarrelsome conversation between the three is not for the Believer. The simple admonishment is that we are careful as we engage these folks on social media that our hearts are not turned in a direction that it should not go. Also Tucker Carlson is definitely a one to mark but in this particular thread he was not chiming in thus his exclusion from this post. - Wil Addison

Follower of The Way. This is not us. What happens on some of these social media threads is what we are trying to warn the Body of Christ about. Candace Owens is Catholic she claims to be a Christian but does not display fruit of true repentance. Megan Kelly has one of the most vulgar mouths in media she claims to be a Christian and Ben Shapiro denies Jesus as Christ but there are many Believers following them locked into their cults of personality.

The bottom line is that after Charlie Kirk was assassinated you could feel that there was a tangible move taking place where God was being openly glorified and many considered their spiritual state and came to Christ praise God! These people have cut in on that and snuffed out what was an opportunity for an Awakening.

Paul's words to the Galatians are true:

Galatians 5:7-9 NASB1995
[7] You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth? [8] This persuasion did not come from Him who calls you. [9] A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough.

They may not know their being used by Satan but they are and all Believers should resist the temptation to give ear to these "Influencers"

Lord give us sharp discernment and help us to see truth in the midst of lies being spread.

When people are angry about an expressed biblical worldview, it reveals an uncomfortable truth about them. Too often, Christians compartmentalize their faith. What if I told you it’s all spiritual? Every way we live and the words we choose says something about what we think about the Lord.

As Christians, we don’t lean into the flesh and feelings; to the contrary, we rely on the truth of God’s Word to guide not only our actions but our very thoughts.

When I see professing Christians aggravated by the application of Scripture or annoyed that people actually trust the Bible, it makes me wonder about them, not the person trusting Scripture.

Christians don’t “hide behind the Bible”; rather, in boldness, we stand firmly on it!

She was shiny and new and black. She’s “one of us” we were told by people with influence. She’s a chameleon. She’s whoever she needs to be to advance her insatiable desire for fame and worldly success. She is at this moment right where she always wanted to be, NOT in a principled position of leadership, in the number one spot. That is all that ever mattered. Sorry for the old conservatives who were disappointed that Wil and I never wanted to work with Candace. We didn’t trust her then, we don’t trust her now. People who love her…keep her…we will continue to expose her and what she’s doing in culture. She’s a trend. She’s spent the last decade moving through the biggest conservative outfits and they let her because she was shiny, new, and black.

It bothers me that Candace Owens has brought her brand of belligerence to Faith. She sees herself as having been rescued from Protestantism. She was actually barely conversant on Evangelicalism before she married into a convenient belief. I mean honestly, inviting your Protestant friend to debate your Catholic husband…then declaring him the winner by a landslide?? Her arrogance bothers me tons.

She counts on our lust for information so much so that we are willing to be perpetually insulted by her in exchange for it. What we believe as Protestants is not a departure from Truth, it’s a return to it. Respectfully, the belief that one MAN reigns supreme over the Lord’s Church is NOT supported in Scripture. Additionally, believing that we are saved by faith in Christ AND anything else is NOT supported in Scripture.

Believing in the authority of Scripture is not rebellion, it’s faithfulness.

No one wants to divide unnecessarily but when bears get poked, they usually respond. Is there not a cause…unless we don’t really believe what we say we believe. I’m a Bible-believing follower of the Way; consistent with all that that profession describes.

I realize this post is upsetting and potentially polarizing, that’s not my intent. I’m just not ashamed to be Protestant.
