URBAN SACRED REALISM

Peace family,

Last night I had the honor of debating the question:
“Would Black Control of Resources Neutralize White Supremacy?”

I stood on the negative position — that while Black control of resources is essential for empowerment, it would not neutralize the ideology of white supremacy.
I argued that the system we’re fighting isn’t just economic — it’s spiritual, psychological, and cultural — and that true neutralization requires transformation, not just control.

I want to take a moment to salute my opponent, Brother Nyame, an elder in our community and a man whose passion for our liberation is unquestionable. Iron sharpens iron. His presence demanded that I bring my best self to the table, and I thank him sincerely for that.

In the closing rounds, I used my own Black body as an example — the ultimate human resource — a resource I am willing to sacrifice in the name of progress for our people.
Even Brother Nyame acknowledged that truth in his closing statement, agreeing that my example was a form of Black control over a resource. But that shared recognition didn’t negate the deeper reality — that control and neutralization are not the same.
Control moves the pieces; transformation changes the game.

The judges scored me with a 90 overall, placing me #1 going into the semifinals. I’m humbled by that acknowledgment — not because of competition, but because it proves that discipline, evidence, and love for truth still matter in our community discourse.

I saw the responses afterward — the love, the critiques, and even the anger. That’s all part of growth.
My goal was never to diminish our people’s power — it was to help us see it clearly.
Because when we can see ourselves and our history truthfully, we can finally shape a future rooted in understanding, not illusion.

URBAN SACRED REALISM

The mind is a mirror. Not just of what is, but of what can be. The soul is the eternal witness...the keeper of all dreams, spoken and unspoken, broken and restored. In the quiet corridors of the mind, we hold visions no one else can see, and that's the perfect atmosphere for manifestation. You are a manifestation. Creation begins in solitude, in the sacred soil of self-belief. You must become, even if you walk alone. In the process of walking, your progress proves you were never truly alone.

The psychology of the soul isn't rooted in logic; it's rooted in alignment. To be true to yourself is to honor the contract between yourself and your destiny. Even when the world claps for someone else. Even when the echo of doubt is louder than the voice of vision. You still must rise to the occasion and fulfill the promises you made to yourself. There is a sacred ache inside all of us. The pain of discarded projects, forgotten gifts and dreams deferred. These are not lost, they are scattered soul fragments, waiting to be gathered, remembered, and restored. They hide in old notebooks, abandoned ideas, childhood ambitions you were told to "grow out of." But the soul never forgets.

Light and darkness. Not just opposing forces, but belief and unbelief. Light is when you say: "I can." Darkness whispers: "Who do you think you are?" But even darkness is a servant to the Light. It exists so we can choose. Choose to believe, even in the face of contradiction. Choose to become, even in a world at war with its own reflection, truth and lies in a cosmic tug of war. It's time to fall in love with the idea of you. Not just the version molded by trauma or shaped by fear, but the Divine Design.

See yourself as the apple of God's eye. The highlight of His creation. You are a walking, breathing, living idea from Heaven. And in this unfolding journey, time is sacred. It is the thread that stitches past to present. It contains the historical record of all humanity's successes and failures for us to study to avoid recycled mistakes. Yesterday teaches us how to build successfully today that we may rejoice tomorrow. I challenge you "Chosen One".

I've created 3 call to actions for you incorporate into your daily routine that I guarantee will activate your spirit and awaken your creative energy, if you purpose to do them. There is no magic pill to swallow. No enchantment to cast. No shortcut to Paradise. You are enough. Give yourself a chance.

#1st- (REVIST AND RECLAIM) I want you to dust off the dreams you put on the shelves. Reopen the files in your mind labeled "one day". There's gold buried in what you gave up on. Go back, and redeem the time.

#2nd- (SPEAK LIFE OVER YOURSELF DAILY) Words are seeds. Plant affirmations that align with your true identity. Speak as if what you envision is already yours. Because it is. Feel it. Know it. Walk in it.

#3rd- (CREATE WITHOUT PERMISSION) Stop waiting for approval to be powerful. God already said "YES" to your becoming. Make. Build. Write. Rap. Sing. Dance. Love. Film. Learn. Teach. Be Present. Move Forward. Create. The very act of creating awakens the soul asleep.

Pray with me..."Heavenly Father, Thank You for being here, right now, with us. Thank You for the breath in our bodies and the vision in our hearts. Thank you for every forgotten dream You've kept alive inside us. Help us to become who You saw when You created us. Not independent of You, but always dependent on You, guided, inspired, and strengthened by Your Spirit. Let us move with clarity, create with boldness, and love ourselves as You love us. We are yours, and we are ready. Forgive us for our sins, iniquities, and transgressions. We repent and humble ourselves before Your Face. Bathe us in Your Light. Cleanse us with Your Word. Keep and protect us for Your Namesake. Humbly I submit this prayer to You Father in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen."

URBAN SACRED REALISM

There remains in all of us who pursue to become the best version of ourselves in this life a persistent germ 🦠. This germ isn’t airborne. This germ, in functionality operates akin to traditional diseases and illness at times, it is a rot within the soul, the decay of one’s spirit. As inseparable as night follows day and day follows night. Actually that is a great depiction of exactly the point I would like to establish during this writing exercise. In which case the night represents all the undesirable aspects of a person’s being, that up until the point of making a conscious effort to change for the better was camouflaged as what was normal.

The night gives wings to those motives and impulses hidden behind the invisible wall whose builder and architect is the self. The night represents also a shifting in consciousness, seeing how in the natural our circadian rhythms are fixed to respond to the dying of the light, so to in the spirit realm certain behavior patterns can and do either activate or deactivate in response to the dying of the light. Don’t let your light 💡 die. Keep the fire 🔥 burning.

That’s what the day signifies to all of us who stay hopeful for the break of dawn. Those of us who believe that not only does Joy come in the morning but she stays throughout as a companion to the day. For those of us who seek to bask in the glow of the Sun, receiving the intel of Nature…because she trusts those of us who walk in the light. There is a trust there. Is it not so that in order for one to become anything that trust has to be established? Is it not so that in order for you to be who you are and do what it is that you do presently, that you had to come into an agreement of trust with yourself? Isn’t it so?

This germ 🦠 is no an ancient technology embedded with the genetic code of mankind. It leaks between the corded strands of our DNA. Looking for opportunities to mutate that which is good, destroy that which is pure, defile that which is holy. This germ 🦠 has the ability to cause doing the right things feel cumbersome and draining, while in contrast cause doing the wrong things to feel like bliss and pleasure. Is it not so? What is the cure then you may ask? I don’t have that answer. Not because an answer doesn’t exist but more so because to find the answer is to end the journey. It is my understanding that discovery belongs to the courageous.

It is my belief that which each shedding of what was, this germ 🦠 loses its effectiveness on the human soul, its grip loosening ever the more on the spirit. With each transformation of the mind, embracing the regeneration and healing process of the Word of God that we become stronger but not immune to it. And isn’t that what we all crave? To be stronger? To be better? I know that to be true across all color lines and walks of life. Don’t envy me or hate me for wanting to be better than I was yesterday. Don’t hate me because I hate the stench of mediocrity.

Don’t allow yourself to be overly critical of my accomplishments or lack there of because you don’t know what I’ve been through to get to where I’m at today. You don’t know the fires I’ve endured, the storms I’ve faced. You don’t know the depths of the sunken places I’ve had to traverse all in the name of denying myself for tomorrow. My present self enacting a contractual agreement with my future self to make the right decisions and choices now to set myself up to be in the best and optimal position later. Is that not what becoming the best version of yourself means? Forging a contract with yourself spread across time. I believe in you and I can’t wait to see who you become.

URBAN SACRED REALISM

All this talk about this Deliverance movie being a Portal or gateway needs to be studied. In my opinion I believe it’s because the people who it happened to are black people and it’s based on actual events that took place and that at least from that perspective makes it come across as more serious because we as black people don’t normally explore paranormal or spiritual experiences out in the open as much as other races.

Even though we are some of the most spiritual people on earth. Here’s the thing though…a lot of people saying be careful watching this movie are the same people who say they on demon time, who listen to violent and sexually explicit music, drinking and smoking with multiple intimate partners etc etc etc but never once ever say anything about those things being portals or gateways. That’s interesting right? If you ain’t experiencing demonic activity based on your everyday behavior or pattern of life then 9/10 you’re not going to incur no special demonic attention from watching a movie. Yeah you might enjoy a jump scare or emotional tug just based on the script and acting but other than that don’t allow the spirt of fear to take over your mind over a movie. That was a unique situation that family found themselves in.

True portals and gateways require more than viewing a movie. You have to establish relationships with evil spirits just like you have to have a relationship with God. It just don’t happen like that. The soil, the ground, the house, the previous tenants, the pain, the shedding of blood, the violence coupled with the depression, trauma, and oppression the Mother experienced with her Mother, her husband, her drinking problem and the child abuse issues, taking out her anger on her kids, created a perfect storm and conditions for that family to be affected that way.

And that’s the biggest takeaway from the movie…as Parents the way we choose to live our life has a direct affect and effect on our children and the people connected to us. We as parents are the guardians not just in the physical but also in the spirit and if we are living in a compromised state then whatever evil spirits may be present in a given situation can and most times will affect our children. Look at our condition and our neighborhoods. There is our evidence right there…we just don’t see that as demonic because we grew up like that and had it normalized as our culture.

This Lux vs Rum Nitty battle was a perfect demonstration of what I’ve been saying for the longest. And it’s crazy because these are the conversations within my inner circle about the Art Form and being a Chosen One…being given the responsibility to Rap Rap. It’s a Beautiful Death. Because you have to be willing to die daily to the accepted norms and trends so you can always be in a place to transcend. In that sacred space you’re not writing anymore, you’re just a receiving signal, downloading what wants to be heard, what needs to be heard. I strayed away from that path of enlightenment momentarily thinking my light would shine in the darkness. I was wrong. Not my intention but my independence. I don’t have a light source of my own to share because I belong to a light source and outside of that energy and frequency not only am I depleted of my effectiveness as an Author but I completely remove myself from the providence of God and all that entails. I’m not a human being but I’m a spirit being human and in the revealing of my flawed humanity I falsely allowed you to think that we are the same when we are not. It was never my Pen 🖊️ to begin with. This Universe is alive with Invisible Ink. Thank you Father 🙏🏾. Things has to happen the way they happen to get me back in Divine Alignment. Back on my path 💯. You laughed when I told you that the ears can be trained to hear what they want to hear even though the science was/is there to support my position…I expected nothing less. You can’t imagine how poetic it was for me when the tables turned during this battle and Rum Nitty told the crowd “train your ears for this next part” 😆. The irony being this, I said it not to gas light anyone but to point out a harsh truth that hearing and listening is two different functions and the conversation became a thing. But in this instance, the crowd favorite, the heavy puncher, the familiar, more current trend and style of battle rapper realized that all of a sudden being an 👽 don’t and can’t compare to God’s work. And in that moment of clarity he tried to reverse engineer my earlier statement and told the crowd, “I need yall to train your ears for this next part”. Nah Bro, the crowd was already under hypnotic rhythm to that low vibration but tonight Lux broke that spell. You wasn’t yourself and that’s no shot to you because the truth is…the majority of people who do that same thing not they self either so it makes sense to love one and hate the other-RIO NKOSI

I want you to know that I believe in you and on my watch I won’t stand by and let you give up on your dreams. You have to keep going because you’re almost there…“there”, isn’t just a geographical place as much as it is a location within yourself. The best version of yourself has the same coordinates as the fountain of youth. The spirit inside you that never grows old, that’s never affected by time, or this 3 dimensional world. You have to keep the 🔥 lit. You’re a beacon of hope for the tribe you’ve yet to discover. You’re the voice for the voiceless souls who feel exactly like you do but don’t possess the gift to articulate the hidden mysteries and manifest them in real time…but you have that ability. You’re special…and that’s the reason why there’s a target on your back. You’ve inherited this huge responsibility and God is watching. He chose you. The pursuit of happiness in life is both a lofty goal and a singularity of focus. Lofty because inherent within this ideal is a pull towards something higher than you, a concept or mantra to incorporate or absorb into your personality to cause a change for the better. A frequency…which makes sense when you consider that God created the universal principle of vibration that all creation must adhere to by divine decree. Singularity of focus allows one to hone in on a specific task. Isn’t it true that distractions can and will derail most dreamers before the dream is realized or manifested in reality.
