I haven’t seen many people measure that on YouTube, and it should tell us a lot more than just one total number.

CFMOTO 450MT vs Tenere 700 – the argument everyone keeps bringing up.

“Why don’t you just buy a Tenere instead of upgrading a CFMOTO?”

I hear that comment all the time.
So I finally broke it down properly.

Not a ride comparison.
Not brand loyalty.
No spec-sheet wars.

In the video I look at:
- real-world mods (what people actually change)
- total cost of ownership
- OEM repair parts (this one surprised me)
- resale value — what we know, and what we don’t

The 450MT is often called a “mini Tenere” — usually as a compliment (I assume)

Hillclimb training starts… and honestly, both I and the CFMOTO 450MT are still negotiating with gravity. 😅

Tomorrow I’m heading out to film five different climbs —
and let’s be real: 5 climbs = 5 chances to fail spectacularly.

Will we reach the top?
Will the bike give up?
Will I give up before the bike?

I finally upgraded the 450MT with real ADV protection — a 4mm skid plate, lightweight crash bars, and the handguards that have survived all my “unplanned durability tests”… 😅

If you ride off-road, this is the fix the bike actually needs.
In the video I compare weights, install everything, and explain why you shouldn’t wait too long with the skid plate upgrade.
