Story time
This weekends video will be sharing 5 patterns perfect for absolute beginners - no zips, buttons, easy to fit and will gently build upon your skill set. They are also perfect patterns for the more experienced sewist who is looking for a quick fix.
But for those of us who didn't have YouTube to guide us with helpful ideas - I'd love to know your early sewing win or disaster!
For me, I took Textiles as a GCSE and for my final project made a full length gothic style dress in a cheap stretch velvet - I don't remember anyone telling me about grainline so that thing twisted all over the place. It actually put me off sewing for a good few years.

Finally got out to take some photos of my new Tilly and the Buttons Mabel top which I absolutely love! All the gorgeous details like the shirring, the elastic around the neck and shoulders, It was fun to make and dreamy to wear!
