Slow down, scroll less, and make more time for the things you love.

I primarily share sewing inspiration, tips and tricks but with a sprinkling of other things that shape my creative life. Expect book chat, crafty endeavours and some everyday life.

I'm also the founder of ThreadySetGo, the free online sewing community where you can share your love for sewing free from the noise of social media.

Pull up a chair, grab a cuppa and make yourself at home.

Wow! I am blown away to the response I've had from the video I shared this weekend, I don't think I have ever had a video that has resonated with so many of you so quickly! Thank you so much to everyone who watched and to those who left such lovely comments too. Part two coming this weekend.

If social media won't serve the sewing community any more - I'll do it myself!

Introducing the new Community Spotlight feature on ThreadySetGo - a monthly update of the amazing and inspiring things our members have been making or chatting about as well as member profiles.

Plus all the information about our live online sewing chat-show event with very special guests from Chalk and Notch, Roo-tid Fabrics and Beyond Measure

Head over to threadysetgo.com and visit the Community Spotlight page, settle yourself in with a cuppa and enjoy a little read!

With a shift towards more of an "analogue life" - by which I mean less time doomscrolling social media I'd love to know what other hobbies you might be interested in seeing more of? I love reading, have recently gotten into bread making and currently have "spring fever" - wanting to grow food and flowers in my garden (I consider myself a fair-weather gardener, something I'd like to improve on)
Or... stick to the sewing content!

Thank you so much to everyone who has watched my video "Is the sewing community leaving Instagram" and the overwhelming comments letting me know it has resonated with you. It definitely feels like there is a shift in the air of people either wanting to, or have already, stepped away from social media.
Have you watched the video?
When I built ThreadySetGo.com just over a year ago now I didn't initially have it in mind as an alternative to Instagram, but it is definitely filling the gap for the sewing community and a few people have joined the free forum since watching the video which is lovely.

New video coming tomorrow, but first - how often do you sew a toile/muslin/mock up?

Shared a very different style of video this weekend - the first non-sewing related video ever. Always a bit scary doing something new but thank you so much to everyone who has watched and left a lovely comment!

Thank you so much to everyone who has welcomed me back into the YouTube fold in my new video, I'm so touched by all the lovely comments!

I've had a bit of a rebrand here and you can expect a lot more from me in the next few months - still lots of sewing but a sprinkling of other bits as well!

Lots of love for my Marlo cardigans that I shared in the video, I'm hosting a live event on ThreadySetGo at the end of January where I will be joined by Kelli from True Bias, Liana from Lamazi and Zoe host of Check Your Thread podcast. If you'd like to join us in the live virtual audience make sure to register for your space.

This festive break has given me lots of headspace to think about the videos I want to make over the next few months and I am raring to get started!

One video I'd like to make is around setting sewing goals for the New Year so I'd love to know if you are setting yourself any sewing resolutions for 2026? perhaps you want to master a particular technique, work on fitting a certain garment, work towards building up your everyday wardrobe or tackle a project you've put off.

Let me know what your sewing goals are for the New Year
