YouTube enabled a new feature called "Stable volume". It's good for entertainment videos but terrible for our ambiences (and songs, sometimes). I was surprised to hear one of my ambiences suddenly didn't sound well. That was the culprit. Make sure you disable it if the audio levels of some elements sound off.

With our audio solution in a much more mature state (see top comment), requiring less attention from me, I'd like to invest more time in our YouTube channel. Tbh, it's getting buried under dozens of copy pasted channels and AI bloat. Not a big deal though, we already have 170000 subscribers to enchant with our work. In that regard, I'd like to know what YOU would like to see more on the channel.

We at Michael Ghelfi Studios are really proud to share with you the Season of Ghosts album ! Now available on Spotify, on our website as a regular album and FoundryVTT version, and Bandcamp. It was entirely composed by Filip Melvan, who worked with Paizo's designers to create the best possible atmosphere to accompany you in this adventure. The album is EIGHTY minutes long and comes with looped versions for a total of 45 songs. All of it is also on our tool Opus, along with 7000 other songs, ambiences and SFX.

Honestly, this is imo the best MGS album ever released. It took more than a year to compose, and we don't regret a single second of efforts because we believe it was well worth it. East-asian themes are rarely taken care of in TTRPG music, and are sometimes taken too lightly, which end up sounding too stereotypical (not to say, disrespectful). I think this album respects the spirit of eastern asian music while acknowledging its objective of fitting a western TTRPG, deeply inspired by horror themes. You are listening to the blend of these three worlds.

Personal favorite tracks : Season of Ghosts, Relight the Eternal Light.

The album will be distributed for free to our Chosen-Tier patrons on the 26th of July!

So, ‪@Patreon‬ wrongfully suspended our page. 10 years of work, instantly deleted.

EDIT: It's fixed. Check our most recent post for a free album download.

What happened? I used their official API to test a plugin to offer album discount to patrons. This benefits both Patreon and our subscribers, and it is also well within their ToS.


Patreon doesn't offer sandboxing, meaning that I couldn't test my plugin with dummy data. So, I had to create another account. The result? Patreon banned both of our accounts.


This is unacceptable.


I contacted Patreon Support over 3 days ago and only got unhelpful answers. Their support is very low rated, and are known to take months to solve anything.


I'm really at a loss and I have no idea what to do except wait or sue them—a multibillion dollar company. I have no idea if the page is broken, if you're still subscribed, if we'll ever recover the many months of revenue that were in the process of being transferred.


This is an absolute tragedy and each passing day makes the recovery harder. This is also awful for our patrons since the page appears as "removed" and doesn't explain absolutely anything.


We will keep you updated.
