Tafseer-ul-Quran

Tafseer-ul-Quran (Interpretation of the Quran) refers to the process of explaining and detailing the meanings of the verses, words, and surahs of the Quran. The primary aim of Tafseer is to help people understand the deeper meanings and messages of the Quran so that they can implement these teachings in their daily lives.

The importance of Tafseer lies in the fact that every word and sentence in the Quran has a specific purpose and message, and Tafseer allows us to understand these messages in their true context. There are different types of Tafseer, but the most significant are:

Tafseer bil-Mathoor (Interpretation based on transmitted sources): This type of Tafseer relies on the Hadith (sayings and actions) of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the statements of his companions (Sahabah) to explain the meanings of the Quranic verses. It is the most authentic form of interpretation, as it is grounded in the teachings of the Prophet and his companions.
