මේක මගෙන් ගොඩක් අය අහන ප්රශ්නයක්.
"නංගී මට දැන් Degree එකක් තියෙනවා. මම Masters එකකුත් කරනවා. ඒත් මම තාම CV එකේ O/L වල A කීයද, A/L වල Z-score එක කීයද කියලා දාන්න ඕනද?"
සමහරු හිතනවා "මුල ඉඳන්ම ඔක්කොම විස්තර තියෙන තරමට හොඳයිනේ" කියලා.
හැබැයි CV Expert කෙනෙක් විදිහට මම දෙන උත්තරේ මේකයි: ඒක තීරණය වෙන්නේ ඔයා ඉන්නේ ඔයාගේ Career එකේ කොතනද කියන එක මතයි.
හැමෝටම එකම නීතියක් නෑ. මේක පැහැදිලි කරගමු.
1. ඔයා Fresher කෙනෙක් නම් (දැන් රස්සාව හොයන කෙනෙක්): ඔව්, අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම දාන්න. ඔයාට පෙන්නන්න Work Experience නැති නිසා, ඔයාගේ අධ්යාපන සුදුසුකම් තමයි ඔයාගේ ලොකුම ශක්තිය. HR Manager කෙනෙක් බලනවා ඔයා ඉස්කෝලේ කාලේ ඉඳන්ම දක්ෂයෙක්ද, ඔයාගේ අධ්යාපනික ගමන (Academic track record) කොහොමද කියලා.
කොහොමද දාන්නේ? හැම විෂයක්ම ලියන්න එපා. සාරාංශයක් දාන්න. (උදාහරණ: G.C.E A/L (Biological Science Stream) - 3 A’s, Z-Score: 1.8 | G.C.E O/L - 9 A’s including Mathematics and English).
2. ඔයාට අවුරුදු 2-3 කට වඩා Experience තියෙනවා නම්: නැත, බොහෝ දුරට අවශ්ය නැත. දැන් ඔයාට වටින්නේ ඔයාගේ වැඩ පළපුරුද්ද සහ ඔයාගේ ඉහළම අධ්යාපන සුදුසුකම (Highest Qualification - Degree/MBA) විතරයි. ඔයාට Degree එකක් තියෙනවා කියන්නේ, ඔයා කොහොමත් O/L, A/L පාස් කියන එක HR එක දන්නවා. ඒ නිසා ඒ පරණ විස්තර දාලා CV එකේ වටිනා ඉඩ නාස්ති කරන්න එපා. ඒ ඉඩ ඔයාගේ Experience ගැන ලියන්න පාවිච්චි කරන්න.
ව්යතිරේකයක් (Exception): සමහර විශේෂ රැකියා (උදාහරණ: බැංකු, රජයේ රැකියා) වල Job Ad එකේම ඉල්ලනවා "O/L ගණිතය සහ ඉංග්රීසි සඳහා සම්මාන සාමාර්ථ අනිවාර්ය වේ" කියලා. අන්න එහෙම වෙලාවට විතරක්, ඔයා කොච්චර Senior වුනත් ඒ අවශ්යතාවය CV එකේ පෙන්නන්න ඕන.
සරල නීතිය මේකයි: CV එකේ අධ්යාපනය ලියන්නේ අලුත්ම එකේ ඉඳන් පරණ එකට (Reverse Chronological Order). ඔයාගේ ඉහළම සුදුසුකම O/L, A/L වලට වඩා ගොඩක් උඩින් තියෙනවා නම්, පරණ ඒවා අයින් කරන්න කාලේ හරි.
ඔයාගේ CV එකේ Education කොටස තාම ඉස්කෝලේ යන ළමයෙක්ගේ වගේ පිරිලද? ඒක Professional විදිහට හදාගන්න ඕන නම් මට Message එකක් දාන්න.
