It’s difficult being a one-man operation day in and day out. But i’ll tell you, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve lived so many different lives.. this was the only one I was ever meant to live. I knew it from the beginning, but then I got so far away from it.
I’m almost 34 years old. I made the decision 1 year ago to quit everything else and pursue music properly. Age is irrelevant. I could’ve done this at 17. But I was living in fear. Fear no longer dictates the decisions I make.. and i’ve had some hard decisions to make in the last year.
Go with your gut. If it feels bad, it is bad. If it feels good, it is good. It can be that simple. Live your life, not anyone else’s. Find your path and stay on it. My path brought me to all of you out there. And i’m grateful for everyday I get to be here still.

There are alot of artists out there doing shady, behind the scenes work to grow their numbers.. but numbers don’t constitute good music. F*ck the numbers. Creating fake ‘fan’ accounts is the most recent trend I discovered.. it’s all so unnecessary. Why pay for ads when you could simply work harder and release more music/videos? Why pay for auto-responses when you could dedicate time to respond to every single person that comments on your posts?
Social media has tried to take the humanity out of us. I am actively trying to restore it. I love you all.

2025 started simply with me believing in myself for the first time in my life. I said yes to everything that I would’ve normally said no to. There were no more fear-based decisions.
All the good and opportunity that has come to me has been because of everyone else. It’s because of all of you. There’s too many to thank personally, and it expands well beyond the people in these photos.
I know one day i’ll look back at my life and be able to say that 2025 was the year that changed my life. I’m so grateful to be here still.
Riffs and Recovery became my homebase for my second year in recovery. I have learned and been given so much from so many people in this group over the last year. I wrote ‘REMEMBER ME’ and ‘BUTTERFLIES’ because of the words and ideas of the people that i’ve had pleasure of sharing the room with. I’ve now inspired others as much as they’ve inspired me. I’ve been able to give back as much as i’ve taken. And i’ve made sense of myself and solidified my place in the world.
I got the opportunity to play the 1 year anniversary party of Riffs and Recovery back in July. I got to look out at a packed room full of people. I got to remember the night. I got to tell everyone that we GET to be here still. It’s a privilege.
I’m so grateful for my life and for all of you out there. I hope you understand and believe me when I tell you I appreciate you. I understand that this is all bigger than me now. I remind myself everyday.
All I am able to say for now is get ready for 2026. I will meet you all out there. ✊🏻🩸

The Bakery Recording Studios in Richmond, VA has become my home. It’s been an absolute blessing having a private space here to write, record and be creative. It helped shaped my year in so many ways.
