This channel follows my meanderings threw various small engine repairs and a Ferrocement house build. With the hope that I can help people feel more confident to get projects done. I just want to do my part in contributing to the wonderful Do It Yourself community we have here on the INTERNET. I am a project oriented person who loves the challenge of something new. The problem I have is that I loose interest when it comes to repetitive repairs of objects. So I keep my self busy with all kinds of projects that come mostly from my every day life. I always try to fix things myself and only as a last resort will I pay for some one to work for me. I hope to evolve this channel into something very fun and helpful as my skills with the camera / editing software improve.

Check out ‪@seashepherd‬ videos and decided for yourself if Paul Watson’s work is justified or not. Making ethical choices that are outside of the law has long been sign of greatness and being on the right side of history shouldn’t be a crime. The international community needs people like Paul to put pressure on them to do the right things, it is how progress is made in our society. In my book animal and environmental activists are heroes.

I think it is outrageous that Captain Paul Watson was arrested for his good work. The continued hunting of whales is an atrocity that must end. We humans act as if we are separated from the natural world and are protected from the continued degradation of our ecosystem. So few things in the world demonstrate the potential for good of our species and the arrest of someone so dedicated to the oceans and its inhabitants is truly disgusting to me.

(Click picture to view the full image) We are looking at an older Briggs and Stratton push mower carburetor, the metal carburetors. I was stumped for a while as to why it was siphoning gas past the needle valve. I didn’t want to remove the gasket that was covering this port out of fear of tearing it because I didn’t have another one ready to go. Long story short I finally removed it and cleaned up the face of the carburetor exposing this clogged port, the clog was the same color as the gasket making it invisible to me. Turns out that this port is not only the port that the primer bulb squirts air in to fart gas into the intake for a cold start. It is also the air vent that breaks the siphon that occurs if this port is compromised. If you are currently stuggling with this you are welcome! 😂 I hastily posted a short about this and then moments after edited the short noticed the problem. 😅

I am back to using my Dreamstation 1 equipped with a foamless air chamber found online. My recall device, a dreamstation 2 just doesn’t seem to flow as much air as it did when it was new. The new device leaves me feeling like I am suffocating and feeling sleepy all day despite it claiming my AHI is always around 1. This news report below is worth a watch.

10,000 subscribers in just 10 years! 😂 Not impressive numbers when compared to larger channels but I’m thrilled to reach this milestone. Thank you everyone who got me to this point. It truly means a lot to me.

Ive been working on a slab for the front entrance of the ferrocement house project. Doesn’t look like much but a lot of work went into footers, compacting gravel/sand and tying everything together for a super solid monolithic build. I’ll post another ferrocement house video before too long.

The Spirit of Ecomodder is Apocalypses neighbor. They play well together even though they have different philosophies on being a truck.

Decking our oval roof turned out to be quite a lot of work but was also a lovely experience. It is also a joy to get to experience this house build along side my Dad. We plan out this stuff together and get to create anything we feel like. It is a type of freedom that is akin to art. My personal YouTube feed has been giving me very trashy clickbait content that doesn't feel very authentic recently. With full acknowledgement that my video production skills are low and I struggle to communicate efficiently and effectively I do try my best to make the kind of content I want to watch. Hopefully you enjoy it also. Here are some pictures of the round roof decking that I thought look nice.

I was hired to repair a Harbor Freight Dust Collector. The man who hired me said he went to Harbor Freight to buy a new one and the price had gone up so much he wasn't willing to pay what they wanted for a replacement. That got me thinking and I went to the way back machine to check the prices and sure enough they have nearly gone up in price by 60% in the last decade. I what price point is it no longer worth it to buy cheap tools from Harbor Freight? Here is a link to my full repair video of the Central Machinery Dust Collector. I replaced the crap Chinese bearings with some tier one high quality SKF Explorer bearings and got the dust collector running quite and strong again. https://youtu.be/6WCGfISY8_k
